I swear the Hearthstone devs NEVER learn from these game breaking cards needing to be nerfed. Every expansion has another giant of some sort that costs zero within a couple turns. There is always some kind of "for the rest of the game" effect that is super polarizing. Not to mention the unintended rogue combos that gets crazier with every expansion like the Valeera's gift + Sonya combo everyone but the dev team knew would become an issue.
Giants are a staple of Hearthstone though. There's just as many that completely flopped and have never seen play as those that have become actual meta cards. It's pretty much a coin flip on whether a new giant will be BUH-ROKEN or completely irrelevant. Valeera's Gift + Sonya combo was only an "Issue" when Sonya was bugged and playing a 1 mana Sonya she'd copy herself meaning you got a free extra Sonya for the hard set up of... Playing the miniturize pirate first. It's been irrelevant ever since the fix to Sonya. I mean, you have a point about the devs never learning about game breaking cards (Like Concierge style mass mana cheat or Charge minions) but your examples are terrible.
@fefino1411, if older broken cards remain broken then what's the point of hs selling the new expansions...take warrior for example, odyn came out, every warrior was playing that strat, then showdown with brann and boomboss with highlander variant, then stopped a bit with inventor boom+unkilliax, then came out PiP with hydration station to help boom+unkilliax for the fun police of hs... where is highlander warrior now? where's odyn warrior now? for most of the classes, the strategies change every almost expansion which is good for blizz because they are forcing players to keep up with the meta but bad for F2P or new players since the meta changes so much...who the hell expected hedanis OTK priest will be meta, so F2P or new players didn't craft that card, but now they have to
Im not sure how it happened, but on turn 6 or 7 against a DK..he had managed to summon 3 elizas and still had 2 on board. 5 total. Plus he handbuffed +2+2 like 4 times too 😂 Ridiculous
I love how Shaman's "For the rest of the game" effects are pretty bad. It's always only overload, which frankly is not the most interesting part of Shaman.
I don't think they should always use not less than 1, I'd prefer that they use "to a minion" or "to enemies minions" more often on cheap cards. There are too many cards that for 2/3/4 mana can easily deal 10/15/20 damage to opponent face. Another solution would be increasing heroes health, but that would strongly penalise class that can't easily heal.
@@ZeddyHearthstone ok, thank you. I spent all my gold on heroic tavern brawl. I need more packs. Edit: I got 6 wins so 7 packs and 250 gold and 250 dust. I only lost 50 gold worth.
Zeddy, is there anyway you could do a react video to Hearthstone Mathematics video on how to save HS? They uploaded it about a week ago I think, really interesting.
Games not updating on any platform. You have to quit and restart the game to update progress. It's super annoying. My wins aren't syncing, quests, shop, or the solo adventures I'm doing. After each solo boss I have to restart the game to unlock the next one smh
I know it’s just a thumbnail, but Mage is in a bad spot right now. I took Elemental Mage to Legend this past season. I’m getting destroyed almost every game at Silver 10-5 now lol
Elemental mage is getting destroyed in lower ranks. In diamond and higher though I'm seeing it alot more...and it's a little more viable. It's just extremely hard to hold board against the insane board clear rn which is why you're probably having trouble. Lamplighter can save your ass 100% And the azerite giants are p good to run. Can get an 8/8 on turn 4 or 5. What I fr recommend though is handbuff paladin rn. 82% win rate for me over 50 games. I climbed from gold 5 to diamond 5 with that deck in 2 days
@@StineratorThanks! I might have to just try and grind it out. I’ve always preferred playing Mage decks and Elemental seems like the only viable option right now.
@@Sean9933 Yeah man for sure. Handbuff paladin and Zarimi priest are great options to climb rn and very fun to play imo. You can basically get zarimi priest for free if you chose the "Dragon time" trial deck to keep for free. It comes with zarimi, aman thul, and some other staples.
This sh!t is why I'm not invested in Standard at all. Every expansion either brings new cards that homogenise/break the meta or creat a busted arse combo. Just for a set to rotate and then for it to happen all over again I'm sticking to Wild and Solo Adventures thank you very much.
Wild sucks imo. The decks are way more broken than standard. Waaaayy more. Like the 4 horseman deck that kills you on turn 4. Or the fact that you can get minions with 100 100 by turn 6. No thanks. Plus, I enjoy opening card packs and forming new decks with new sets and trying to keep up with the standard play. Less money too imo bc there are WAY more cards/legendaries in wild than in standard. Way more decks. As someone who hasn't played hearthstone consistently through the years, my wild collection just doesn't cut it 😂
Wild is pretty cheap if you don’t play Reno decks, most decks only need 2-3 legendaries. And decks stick around for longer than standard so you get more value out of your cards. Collection is not an issue if you decide to commit to Wild. Power level fs can be a problem though, which imo is the main turn off of wild. Aggro caving your face in on turn 4, combo caving your face in turn 5, miracle making 3 8/8s turn 3, Druid doing Druid things, etc etc. idk what you’re playing against to see a 100/100 in stats or a Uther otk on 4 tho.
I remember playing against pocket galaxy in standard back in the day... It was nuts. You literally had to aggro them down before turn 5 or else they would just win. druid was good and demon hunter was the best at beating them. Crazy times. Great video.
Wild has turn 5 destroy your opponent mage... Like off a 1 drop spell If you play Loatheb on turn 5 you get to die on SIX! Isn't that awesome!? Just uninteract combo clone board play entire hand for 0 mana and win game Off of *ONE* minion then a 3 drop spell making all your spells cost 1 less... 2 drop spell now all the spells cost 1 less again they are now 1 mana - play rewind for 0 mana create a copy of a spell that now costs 1 mana - clone minion again oh look all your spells now cost ZERO mana - clone minion again for shits and giggles because why not! Spells REALLY cost 0 play illusionist or something and then dump 8 million chalices for an otk off of nothing but spells cost nothing + spells get spell damage
As a casual 50+ year old player, Hearthstone is my cope for not having enough time IRL for WOW. IRL i love mage. It feels like mage has been destroyed (other than templates) for those wanting more from hand expiramentation. My problem is ATM, mage doesnt have an answer for minion play like objection. Mage cant counter against card bombs or curses with steam cleaner. So when any other class plays a minion buffed to 9 trillion attack with charge, mage not only becomes a glass canyon, it becomes unplayable. Im not asking for the world, please just add back in objection and steam cleaner. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE
This is an actually crazy comment. Objection is insanely polarizing, because almost every deck plays minions, so now you have a anti-value card that promotes more wide board building and more aggro. Then steamcleaner? It’s only good against one deck, plague dk.
@kennethxu1789 I don't think that it is. There should be a balance if minion based classes can throw out insanely op minion a/m. As far as steam cleaner I had it in my deck for curses and bombs. Look at mage core cards and compare to any other class, mages INHERENTLY are at a loss to begin the game, again unless you love templates ... still less than 50% win rate. Do yes, these cards would be good to put back in. If you want make them exclusively mage cards. Then I'll use em all day and you won't hear me complain.
Renathal revert kinda broke wild, 40 health is too much it should stayed 35. And i play renathal myself im legend in wild, its just too easy to beat any aggro, not alot of aggro in wild anymore only mana cheating decks and renathal (druid, raza priest, paladin)
Not like this game is failing more and more by the moment...Laggy gettin' booted while tryin to get in BG or your winning... But cute video real useful being sarcastic BTW...!
The bloodsail buff actually happened after the Warrior questline came out, which makes it even dumber in hindsight.
God I loved that deck in standard before it got nerfed

Thankfully Ogre never got buffed. Imagine what the state of the game would be if it was a 7/7 !!!
The ogre is so ridiculously broken that people have stopped playing it for ethical reasons.
I definitely can't play around a 7/7 Orge
Literally unplayable, dies to big game hunter
We all know the only way to improve Oger is by making it a 6/9
Especially if it was 4 mana.
The Miracle Salesman fade in was great, made me laugh 😂
It's the 'Do you know Hearthstone' Champion.
