    DJI Cendence Remote Controller Unboxing and Overview
    The Cendence remote controller for DJi Inspire 2 is a professional-grade, customizable remote controller designed for full integration with other advanced DJI products like the Inspire 2 and CrystalSky monitor.
    Today I am putting out part 1 of a 2 part in depth series on the DJI Cendence remote controller. For today I have a quick unboxing and overview of the Cendence controller.
    The DJI Cendence controller has helped me get more out of my Inspire 2 platform by putting more options directly at my fingertips and allowing me to focus more on shooting than digging through menus to accomplish some repetitive actions. Couple of the quick design features that you will find on the remote are:
    1. Customizable buttons
    2. New LCD Display
    3. Focus knob for directly controlling focus (instead of using a slider in the app)
    4. SD and HDMI ports as well as connectivity for other devices through its CAN port
    5. Dual frequency directional antennas
    6. Control Stick dust covers
    7. Battery compatibility with DJI CrystalSky monitors
    The onboard LCD screen (something the stock Inpisre controller doesn’t have) displays camera parameters, flight status, remote controller, battery information and more.
    They state the battery lasts 4 hours on a single charge, I have found that to be really conservative.
    The complete manual for the Cendence can be found at:

    Yes, please create a video showing in-depth programming of the Cendence. That would be so much help!

    I have been on the fence about the Cendence for awhile now, will wait for your in-depth video to make a choice

      one thing I did add, is a Secraft tray with double harness, it gets heavy and the double harness balances it better.

      Great recommendation - just looked them up, that looks like a great piece of support gear

      I cant really take credit, I was on a shoot and the other pilot had one, once I played with it, I was sold.

    Love the new studio! It looks really good, how did you do the shot at around 5 minutes? It's so smooth, great unboxing!

    Hi Bill. Talking M200 with Z30. As a single operator can you set the Cendence to control pitch & pan of the camera and maybe even zoom. I want to use the sticks to fly and hover drone then using same controller to zoom the Z30 then pitch and pan as required. All single operator. Many thanks.

    Hi Bill, I'm really keen to see the next video. Just about to purchase the Cendence. I want to know if you can work the Pitch and the Yaw of the gimbal at the same time. If so, how successful is it?

    • @ChrisAlstrin
      @ChrisAlstrin 6 лет назад

      Yes you can control pitch and yaw at the same time.

    Can I use it on multiple dji aircrafts. I own I1, I2 & Mavic. Can I switch between crafts with that controller or do I need to dedicate it to only 1 craft?

    • @BillNicholsTV
      @BillNicholsTV  6 лет назад

      It isn’t compatible with the I1 and P4 so it would only be used with your I2

    Is this controller use for inspire2 ??? Or we can use it for another drone like mavic?

    Hi could that hdmi out be used for a dp to see his camera controls to the drone? Trying to avoid buying 2 crystal skies. But I have an atamos already.

    If I have one of these does this mean that I can have a second person control either the inspire or the camera with the remote that came with my inspire? Can I have two users one with the stock remote and one with this?

    • @BillNicholsTV
      @BillNicholsTV  6 лет назад +1

      Yes, exactly

    • @aerofart
      @aerofart 6 лет назад

      Yup. But even with a 2nd operator it’s a good idea to practice together because communications between the pilot and camera operator can be tricky.

    Did you have any issue binding the remote with your Inspire at all?

    Did I just see you post your I2 for sale on a forum? If so, do you mind if I ask why you're selling??

    • @BillNicholsTV
      @BillNicholsTV  6 лет назад

      You did - I have two of them, I am selling one of my setups. Great package overall, like new. Incredible machine, I just don't need the backup as much any longer.

      I'll be honest... I had to wipe the drool away from my face before strolling to your channel to ask. I just purchased an I2 package on ebay. Love your tips and tutes!

    I have heard a lot of issues with the patch antenna, what have you experienced so far. The controller looks really good

    • @BillNicholsTV
      @BillNicholsTV  6 лет назад

      I have used mostly the stock antennas,

    • @aerofart
      @aerofart 6 лет назад

      I have the Cendence and although I haven’t tested it exclusively, My experience has been that there is little or no difference when using the patch antenna in directional use, but a loss of effectiveness in omnidirectional use, so like Bill, I use the Omni antennas. I plan to make a video to Test the difference. Bill, I get the feeling you’re in SoCal for some reason and if you’d like to get together and collaborate on some projects with me please let me know. I have an I2 and Cendence and a bit of video production gear that would be useful.
