I've had my locks for 18 months now🥰. Am loving them more everyday. This journey has made me more patient with my hair and other areas of my life
Switched from Nipsey braids to 2-strand twists so I can access my scalp during intermediate washes. Better look & cleaner scalp. 1yr down #4c
18 months for me as well. Almost 19 actually.
@@BishopM1u still have em rn?

All because of you I’ve started dreads and I’m currently almost a year in thank you you’re awesome man I watch all you’re vids 🙏
Hey Gunther! I’ve been watching your videos for years! I’m still rocking my curls for now, but I think I might lock it up sometime. Thanks to your videos I’ll know how to maintain it myself!
I’m 7months and 17 days on my journey…watching these videos keeps me from cutting them! Great vibes fr
Gunther your dreads look great and healthy your hair really came a long way it’s all about patience and trusting the process it might not look how u want it in the beginning but it’s gonna eventually turn out to look good in the end process
3 years with my dreads and I’m definitely jealous because your 2 year length looks like my 3! Looking good! My dreads are about the same size as yours and initially I felt like they were too skinny, but I love them now!
your locs are so sick broooooo u inspire me to grow out my undercut 😭 ima grow it out and probably install some extensions then cut everything to be even once the extensions grow out
Ive been in and outta loc for the past 2 years i didn’t know whether I want medium or skinny locs but seeing this has helped me decide
5 months now and looks so much better than my first 3 months. The process has been frustrating at moments, but now I’m seeing the results of my patience.
I got about three years of growth and it bugs me out how fast your locs have developed! ☮️
Can't believe it's already been two years it feels like it was yesterday when I watched you start your comb coils and then I started my journey my two years is in two months but the progress has been immaculate
Bro when your locks hit 3 years and mature even more they gone look FIRE
I’ve had my dreads for about a year now and it’s going good I get my last retwist of the year of 2022 and I’m getting 2 strand twist and my New Year’s resolution for my hair is to take good care of my dreads and never let anyone talk or force me to take out my dreads

I’ve had my dreads for about 2 and half months now❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
Just recently cut my dreads after 6 years of growth. I am restarting them.
I just recently cut my locks off it was stressing me out cause I couldn’t maintain it as often as I wanted to I cut it off and had instant regret I’m currently growing my hair back out so I can start my lock journey again moral of the story don’t get discouraged locks are a imperfect but beautiful style those imperfections is what makes your locks unique and custom to you. It’s a natural look it’s gonna look rough at times but just stick with it and you’ll be more than satisfied in the long run.
Had My Locs 1 week. Baby Locs
Unravel all day. I will Keep on keeping on.
Locking gel? Good Ideal. Mahalo
Maaan I've had these girls for about 12 years in January, sometimes i can barely remember but i always remember the first time i got them done. Back then though no one was on hair care but luckily i grew up in the shop so hair came natural to take care of. Beauty shop to be exact. Its for sure a journey, depending on hair type, head size, i was literally never able to make a bun for almost 7-8 years but if you see my bun its huge. Hair works in crazy ways and people will never have the same results so just love yourself and your hair. Its your own pattern own head they will look how they are suppose to turn out. My braids eat all my hair away and its back to my shoulders, when they drop its past my back so like i said its all a journey. Some people retain length some don't 🤷🏾♂️. Keep going!!! 💯💪🏾🤘🏾Yee
Should’ve kept those regular comb coil sizes 🔥

Thanks for sharing your process, I have 4 years with dreadlocks and it's amazing that yours grew faster.
Now I'm thinking of cutting some bigger ones and putting them on other areas of my head which could be a great combination. Yours looks great!
730 days still that beautiful smile sirski lol I wanna get dreadlocks but idk if I can do it
Had my locs for 3 years before cutting and restarting. Wasn't a fan having a hightop fade anymore so I wanted to go all out w/ my full head

my loc journey started two days ago , she started wit back comb and she comb coiled , my hair is wavy kinda curly , do you think it will lock up ?, she put them in two strands rn
This whole time I thought it was just short 😭but don’t ever cut them they are so amazing
7 months - how long until they would mature more

What is the best to do when u crotchet and it pulls on some hairs how to prevent traction alopecia with hair growth oil or should I try to undo them
Two months now, and it's still loose what am I not doing well
I have a very important question so I had have my starter locks in since last year November day after thanksgiving and I just got my first re-twist and my dreads kind of look weird like my hair is locking up but it just looks weird and I think my hair is starting to bud. Like I kind of have thick dreads in middle of my head and they stand up just a little like how do I stop it
I had my dread locks for 2 months 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
U could do a vid on the comparison between the process u used from your very first set of locs and your free forms now ( like your 1st set before you moved, that far back lol)
Had my locks for like 7 months now
ive had 3 sets of locks but never did them to thin but would love too.
I cut my dreads of 7 years off on Saturday and now I’m really regretting it and just ready to grow my hair back out my first set was high top locs I wanna get a full head the second time around

I've had mines in for two years as well.
I’ve had my dreads for about 1 month and 7-8 weeks
Nearly 2 months
you kinda look like a lighter version of Nathan Aké a netherlands soccer player. Great video btw
07 months now. It has not been easy and I feel clueless because I moved to another country (Japan) right afterwards; and, finding products or even someone to do your hair - because I don't know how to do it myself - was a massive challenge.
Just curious on what you were saying BUT i did see that they have a retwister out in Japan if you haven't found one. Look up Locticianista Tokyo, also if not her im sure you can look around and find some old school people that might know. Japan has some history with dreadlock as well. Granted these are the Samurai days I'm talking about BUUT its still worth a shot. Even though its not commonly practiced I think you can find someone that does tradition Japanese twists as well. 🤘🏾🤘🏾🤘🏾
I’ve been growing my locs since 2020
I’ve had my locs for almost a year and a half
10 months STRONG! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
You had the ja morant haircut and then switched it up 🎉
Please please please answer my question! I'm almost 6 months in (I think the budding phase) and I have 1 or 2 dreadlocks that are really loose (not thin) at the root and 5 or 6 looks at the front that are struggling to blunt their ends. Even though I'm not worried about any of them separating, should I use a crotch hook to tighten the roots and blunt my ends or am I too far into the dreadlock journey to use that tool? Do people with mature locs even use the crotch hook anymore? Is it only for starter locs?
Abt 6 months by now my hair locked in by the beginning of this year and it’s been interesting
but i started my saga 4 mnts oa ago thanks to u bro had them bacc in 03 04 but ready to real Loc up
