Single parent here! I have an almost 5 month old and I related to every single thing you filmed in this video!, please can you film more stuff like this? It brings some comfort that even mothers in relationships with babies feel the same way I do / go through the same stuff I do when their partner isn’t around / gone on trips or gone out with the boys for the afternoon

You probably won't see this. But I just want to say I think it's really great that you don't put your daughter all over social media and you don't exploit her for views or money. I think you're such a great role model to others for that reason. Also I'm a single mom of a 6 year old and 24 weeks pregnant with baby number 2. It's great that you want to help others who are doing it on their own. Thanks so much for all you do!

Jess, I'm a single parent working from home so i have to juggle meetings in between naps or getting creative with wearing her in her carrier with a pacifier while running a meeting so they don't hear her. It's super hard but I'm doing it. House is not in shambles, we are both fed and happy. Prayers is all we need. We're blessed to have each other and family around. But thank you for acknowledging how hard parenting is. You're both doing amazing. We all are!

Jess you did so good on your own. Your daughter is so blessed to have you as a mom. I’m a young mom of two girls 1 1/2 & 8 months (they’re Irish twins) and I’m pregnant with my third. I’m not a single mom but my husband works everyday, never takes a day off unless absolutely necessary. His shifts are 12+ hours and end at dawn. Our daughters see him for about 20 minutes in the afternoon before he takes off to work. I’ve been struggling, and need prayer. Thank you for making this video it was so relatable

Also just wanted to say that having Gabe working from home everyday is a blessing too, my husband works long hours for 3 days and then has 2 days off and I really enjoy his company on those 2 days! Girl, your free time seems so chill, good for you! My days stressful all around the clock, and ist's very hard to care for a child alone, hats off to single moms!. I hardly find time for myself. I'm not a single mom, but feel like it because my man is out to work at around 7am and comes home at around 7pm, when it is bed time, so he sees our babe for from 5-30 minutes, depending on a day,and that's it! I found help for 2 hours 2 times a week, and it helps with with my sanity, and freed up little bit of time for editing my videos.Going to post the delivery vlog soon,so excited!😊
You r such a chill soul, stay this way. Greets, from Portugal 😘

I definitely relate to this vlog! My husband just got back last week after a 6 week training for the Army. Last year he was gone for 6 months. Sometimes the days can be long and other times a whole month will fly by. Somedays you’re searching for things to do, and other days I feel like I’m drowning in chores with 3 kids. But it is fun sometimes (and silly I guess) to romanticize the time alone and feel like I’m living alone, since I never had that experience before either.

My husband is a consultant and works out of town 4 days a week. My son will be 5 months, soon. My dad was active duty military my whole childhood and I watched my mom do it alone. It is so challenging, but I am so thankful that my husband works, which allows me to stay home with our son. You did so well! It can be lonely not talking to anyone in person. I've made a mom friend nearby and we try and walk outside together 1x a week.

With all due respect you chose to marry a man in the army. If you didn’t like his career choice you shouldn’t have married him and had kids with someone who you knew ahead of time would he gone at times. So why you’re asking for prayers is ridiculous when you chose your life and knew the circumstances.

I've been a military spouse for 10 years, and this year, my husband's schedule has changed to overnight shifts, which leaves me to parent our 3 kids about 80% of the time by myself. It's definitely a challenge when you don't have the support you're used to when your spouse is there.
Also, I truly appreciate your little shout-out to single and military parents. That's so sweet you would think of us!

Thank you so much for your comment about being a spouse to a military person. My husband is getting ready to go on a deployment for the first time since having our son. He did have an underway for two weeks back in November when he was 3months old but this one will be longer and Oliver just turned 6months. It makes me sad thinking of all the things my husband will miss while he is gone.

@@babydoll774 Ur welcome and thanks for your kind reply. Ur on the right path. It will be ok. U already inspired me today. What i try to get in the habit of is right after i wake up i say reasons to be thankful, and try to be positive, then, compartmentalize thoughts, like what i cant do anything about at least not for the moment, so i tell myself i wont allow myself to worry about it. Then i think of what i can do something about, break down into small steps then even smaller steps in my mind and go thru it in my mind first then start to go about it, positively and trying to be patient along the way. and in long term goals, celebrating the smaller steps, the smaller milestones, and trying to stay on the bright side, trying to not be overwhelmed. Journaling, music therapy, checking out funny movies or shows, making time to relax with friends are good, too. Also, remembering this life is only temporary helps, too. Someday, we will have a permanent home in heaven with unimaginable joy and peace. Then we wont even remember the pain in this life but we have the eternal treasure from enduring it. Its all worth it. God is with u and your family. Dont lose hope.
