Hi, thank you for the kind words. Yes, you could just automate the De-Esser to turn on at a specific moment, leaving it bypassed for the rest of the time
@@ericques9974 sure, to the left of the bypass button are two boxes. Click on this, it will open a new window. Select the parameter you wish to automate (bypass) and click okay. Now in the track lane on the Edit window, click on the drop down and you should see the parameter for the plugin (bypass). You can now automate the plugin on and off
@@themusicproductionhandbook8188 Hi, so I just tried this. 1.. When you say to the left of the bypass button are two boxes, are you talking about tha button under "Auto" or the button under that which says "SAFE" ? I am guessing it is "Auto". If so, a new screen popped up as you said it would. It is asking me to click on Master By Pass, Range, Frequency or HF Only Enable. Do you know which one I should click on and then it says ADD AND THEN PRESS OK. Thanks
@@ericques9974 The new window shows you the various parameters that can be automated. Choose ‘Master Bypass’ to be able to automate the plugin in and off. Add this across into the right hand column. Press OK and that’s it. Now you can auto the plugin as and when you want
As a beginner I just reduced it by 2db and only high frequencies. I already put a shelf of 3db on 10khz to add brightness.
Nice video, question. Is there a way to use this De-esser on a "certain part" of the vocal track instead of the whole vocal track ? Thanks
