the kickdown is amazing. But my dad cant do that anyday on scania omnicity dd working for METROBUS ill send a video GREAT VIDEO I JUST LOVE THE SOUNDING OF THE HARSH KICKDOWN
@cumminsl10olympian The Abellio Tridents have uprated engines whereas the rest of London's Trident (baring Transdev's TA202 and 346) are standard engine ratings.
this one was having it. voith euro 2 tridents arent as good really slugglish. what a difference a gearbox could make. im from s yorks we had ex first london volvo olympians zf. S-LLO, T-KLF etc. those could really shift in with kickdown or foot to the floor they out ran a few cars.
4 speed ZF Ecomat transmission. When kickdown is activated or gear change is very slow, 2nd gear locks, then unlocks before locking again. This can be mistaken for 2 gear changes.
9 years later and it still sounds beautiful
Still one of my favourite videos on RUclips
best trident ive ever heard in my life
It was amazing!
Trident Scream! I like that rev 0:47
that's absolutely crazy
That Kickdown is Dangerous!
@@nate9457 I recall there was a DOE in front that we were catching up with, that's why the drive let up on the throttle. Quite some pace though!

I did indeed! He was loving it!

The Travel London seats are the best.

I wonder if TA203 was also uprated as it sounded almost identical to these!
Decent video

14 seconds for full kickdown!
Do you know where the V3__KGW batch have gone to
Mostly dead.
Yeah unfortunately the vast majority are now scrapped
@Mob1006 It was Sarcasm :/
fantastic Thrashing!
Agreed! Very enjoyable and memorable ride!
weird the turbo sounds like a b7tl's turbo. dennis trident zf's are better than b7tl's
were these buses delivered in 2000?
1999
@@nate9457 Correct
Nathaniel Campbell and stagecoach London
these have definitley being supped up. they are slow with voith gearboxes. this is a flyer. euro 2 Cummins C-series.
Yes, these had the larger 245 bhp engine. The standard in London was 220 bhp.
this could be a 6 speed trident!

ben bitek omarch sadly there were never any 6 Speed Tridents, only 5 speed
@@BusesinLondon345 in a technicality those WA08s that first have are 6 speed
What ur assuming is a 6 speed is actually a torque converter
2001
Is this still alive
Unfortunately not. It was said to be preserved but a more recent picture showed it dumped in grass with mould all around
9709 is just like this bus except that 9709's a little quicker in first gear
9709 was a lovely bus - was gutted when it got scrapped as it had a beautiful sounding engine and transmission.
