Great video mate, we use Lenovo products at work, laptops, desktops, docking stations and monitors but only up to the 34". Would love to see the 49" but still, they're pretty good devices. That monitor arm did catch my eye....hmmm might have to look into that. Keep up the good work mate. Cheers Vlad.
Fantastic!! I’m with you, I love that my monitor is my “hub” - one USB-C to my Mac and everything is good to go :) Great setup - I might have to look into that monitor arm … I’m still using the factory mount for mine
20:33 cool video. Nice screen. My current 3 screen setup looks identical to your previous config (down to the same webcam). Thinking …. Beginning of the video was very funny. I was hoping when you left the box at the gate and then came back it would be with a forklift or FEL.
Thanks Peter ♥ I was very happy with my 3 screens for a long time, but this is another step up for sure. If there was any way I could have got hold of a forklift I would have used it 😂
Very nice upgrade, I am very interested in hearing your experience with that Ergotron HX over time............as I am watching your video on my Samsung Odessey G9 49" with factory mount ;)
Haha, sure thing. I can't fault it so far, apart from maybe not sitting flush with the wall/rear of desk, if placed in the middle. I had to move it to the side, but it is still super sturdy. 👌
@@LarsKlintTechI took a chance and ordered one which arrived just now. At first I thought my G9 wasnt going to fit, but luckily I found the VESA adapter plate in the box that I kept from the monitor ;) So now its sitting here in front of me on that nice HX arm ;)
does it have Lenovo True Split? means you can make it sense to your source (like laptop) OS to see it 2 or 3 monitors? this way it will behave like 2 or 3 monitors.
Great video. Do you know if this monitor supports the MS30 soundbar and MC60 webcam? They are supposed to be plugged in on the top. I'm asking because that is the case for the T34w-30.
@@oliviers.a.4785the S has the shorter adapter that comes with the MC60 camera. This adapter is connected to the monitor and then to the camera and soundbar. If you have the longer adapter (without S) there will be a gap between the monitor and camera which to me doesn’t look nice but that’s my personal opinion. I have tested this since we have these monitors at work.
Great question. Yes, that is called True Split and allows you to work on content from two PCs on a single screen through the PBP function with just one cable.
Hi Konstantin. Good question. In fact, I am writing this while using the screen 😊 Pros: - It is super clear and crisp. The colours seem vibrant and dynamic (hard to describe) - Having all the connections in the screen saves a lot of clutter on my desk - No bezels!! Having one wide screen instead of 3 separate screens feels more cohesive and you also save a bit of physical width for the same pixel count. Cons: - At times the laptop won't recognise the screen and I have to restart it. Not sure if it is the screen or the laptop. - The LAN connection through the screen never seems to work. It doesn't affect me as my wifi is good enough. Just odd. I really love it though. From my three old screens it has been a major upgrade. I hope this helps a bit.
Hi Lars, hope you could reply to my question. Do you use Teams? Because I would like to use this monitor for smartworking and I need to share my desktop without problems. If I divide the screen in 3, would I be able to share only one part? Hope my question is clear. Ths in advance for your support.
If you use something like Windows Power Toys, then you can snap a window to the center and then share the window in teams, rather than the whole desktop. I do that all the time.
Hi lars, firstly top class video! I just wanted know what the height of this monitor is? Same as a 27 inch monitor? Also your thoughts on dell U4924DW compared to this? Thank you!
Thanks for the kind words my friend ☺️ The height of the monitor only is 370.1mm. This is similar to current 27 inch monitors, but it depends on which one you are looking at. I'm not familiar with the Dell monitor but on paper it seems very similar.
Good review, there are surprisingly not many out there. Do you know if its possible to hook up a secondary monitor via. it's dock (displayport or HDMI)? Could be nice to have a secondary with a vertical format, if the laptop can handle to monitors. I wonder why it is priced so high, the specs are not that impressive. I still would like one for work though lol!
Yes, you can hook up another monitor for it, and I believe you can even have two computers hook up to the one screen to using Lenovo's eKVM technology. The price is for a flagship product, but it is often half price on their website.
Haha, thanks mate. The monitor is awesome. Couldn't be happier. I just got it from the Lenovo Australia website, and they had a deal on it at the time. 🤝
Hi, great video! I'm just wondering can we connect two macbooks (one private and one for work) via two thunderbolt slots and switch between them? I read that this monotor has two thunderbolt (in 100W and out 27W) so its why I am not sure about this.
Thanks Mateusz for watching 😊 no, unfortunately not. The other USB-C/Thunderbolt is purely for charging. It sits in a little pop put panel underneath the monitor.
What desk are you using? Is there a risk of it tilting over if I use that same setup (including your mount) but don’t put the desk against a wall? Also, would I be able to use 2 screens like this one top of each other?
Good questions. I use an IKEA raising desk. I don't have it against the wall, and it is super stable. The Ergotron mount is amazing, but you'll need two of them for two screens which I'm not even sure is possible, space wise. You'll also need hardware that can support two 49 inch screens.
Your problem at start with several monitors not staying next to one another could easily be solved by using screen buddy. Of course one biiiig screen instead is really nice 😉
Have you used the KVM feature ? I would be very interested to know more about that part. Thanks for your video !
I have not unfortunately. If I set up a Linux box in the future I would. From what I gather it is very simple to use though.

It is so good! A lot less cables and devices. The mount is incredible. Expensive, but you absolutely get what you pay for.

Please can we don't put ultrawide curved displays upside down. That's a good way to crack the panel
Can you elaborate? What is the issue with doing that? (not that I intend on doing it).
