- The Royal Yacht Britannia is a vessel that served as the official royal yacht of the British monarch for over 40 years. Today, it is a popular tourist attraction that offers visitors a glimpse into the luxurious lifestyle of the royal family.

Join us on our full tour of the yacht, including the State Apartments, which include the Drawing Room, the State Dining Room, and the Queen's Bedroom.
You will also see the Crew's Quarters, the Engine Room, and the Royal Deck, which offers stunning views of the Edinburgh skyline. The Royal Deck is also home to the Royal Deck Tea Room, where we enjoyed a delicious morning coffee and scones while taking in the breath-taking scenery.

Good to see you back. Before I forget to tell you "Miriam & Alan Lost in Scotland" is on RUclips with Episodes 1 through 3 from their 2021 trip included in the 2 hour 21 minute presentation. It is a joy. Their tartan, made for them, is gorgeous. FYI. Love the caps, you two! All of the artisanry is exquisite aboard ship: the woodwork, the metalwork and so on is just gorgeous. There appears to be a stiff breeze moving the waters around the yacht. I don't think that is tidal water movement, is it? So glad you got there before the crowds arrived and scarfed down all the delights of the tearoom that you'd wish to order! LOL. The barista is to be congratulated on his/her artistry representing the yacht atop your beverages. Sorry you missed high tea. As our pediatrician told our mother when she despaired that my toddler brother kept eating with his fingers, "What do you think we all used before there were knives, forks & spoons?" Foods like those ordered can be finger foods. Such a wonderful photo of George VI in the entertaining, dining area. Nelson Mandela & Ronald Reagan were among those heads of state who were fond of ERII. In the banquet room there appeared to be side tables & seating near the portals that I guess one would use if there were a large group and some did not know one another, so they needed formal dining space for guests not part of the group at the long table? The drawing room has commodious arrangements for conversational groupings. Were they fresh flowers in that vase? Some things are worth buying for the great tin they come in! You all do need to start timing these major events for the middle of the night over there. It would cut down on the traffic difficulties for folks in London who have to get to work. And for us we could get home from work and sit down for an evening of watching what's going on in your nation that's of historic interest. LOL. We were up before the crack of dawn on this side of The Pond to watch history in the making. One never knows if there will be the opportunity to see such again. There are dramatic shots on some of the postcards on display. Quite nice. Safe journey to you. We'll come along if you can take us. If not, we hope to see you soon back in Britain. I will definitely check out "Miriam & Alan Lost in Scotland" on RUclips :o) As for the yacht, I believe the movement in the water is due to wind rather than tides. 🤔 And yes, we agree, the barista did a fantastic job with the yacht design on our cappuccinos! That was so lovely! :o)

Thanks for sharing that story about your paediatrician - it's a great reminder that we don't always need to follow strict rules when it comes to dining etiquette... :o) Sometimes eating with our hands can be even more enjoyable, and it's definitely less stressful than trying to figure out which fork to use for each course! :o) :o)
Yes, it's always exciting to witness history being made and I'm glad you were able to do so and it's even better when we can share the experience with others around the world :o) I'm glad you enjoyed watching the event too! It was so moving.... As you said, we never know if/when we'll get to experience this event again; oh the ceremony.... it was such a feast for our senses, with the sight of the amazing regalia, the sound of trumpets and hymns and so on :o)

Thank you for this tour. I remember when Princess Diana came with Charles to my City in Canada and the boys came to greet her and her hugging them. I went down to our waterfront and saw the Yacht. It was amazing just to see from the outside. I can’t wait to see where you are taking us to the continent if it is possible to film.

It must have been quite an experience to see Princess Diana and Prince Charles in your city and witness their interactions with their beautiful boys and the locals. Seeing the royal yacht from the outside must have been impressive too, and I'm sure it left a lasting memory.
As for my upcoming trip abroad, I will certainly do my best to bring you along with me. Outstanding! This is, without a doubt, the best, most excellent, comprehensive & in depth Tour of HMY Britannia I have ever seen. What a beautiful & majestic Ship, both inside & out! As well as, having very tasteful decor in every Room & is not ostentatious at all! Also, your filming is excellent & so Professional! You are also both very sweet & enthusiastic! You enter into the experience with so much joy & exuberance! This is very rare these days. This is the way I also love to be, so I appreciate this so much! I also really loved your Nautical attire! Very smart & so apropos! You truly enter into the spirit of being onboard the Ship & all of the experiences you share! That makes your shared experiences so much more delightful to watch!
HMY Britannia is wonderful! It was so poignant & a little sad though, to see all the Photos of HM & the Royal Family from bygone happy days. Also, seeing the cute little stuffed Corgis everywhere! Although, what happy memories HM & all the family must have had of this wonderful Ship! Precious memories of all of the exciting adventures HM & the family must have experienced all around the world! Memories of a most gracious lady & a life well lived. Indeed! The on board Tea Room is also delightful & the view from the Tea Room & the rest of the Ship is really beautiful! Not to mention, those Scones & the Cappuccino looked delicious! I loved how they put the image of the Ship in the foam on top of the Cappuccino! Very creative!
Below decks were also very unique & so interesting, including the impressive & pristine Engine Room & even a hospital! They truly thought of everything! Well, I guess when your main passenger is HM the Queen, you'd certainly have to! Finally, the wonderful Gift Shop! This Shop has so many amazing & high quality gifts. It is also wonderful! My favorite was the little Coronation Coach that opened up to put trinkets into. That was so cute! This whole experience was truly enjoyable in every way, from beginning to end! Thank you for sharing another delightful experience on board HMY Britannia. Blessings to you both!
