    Hello everyone. This is my first time to unbox and stitch a stamped cross stitch. A stamped cross stitch is a pre-printed pattern printed onto a fabric. So this is something new, fun, easy, and exciting to stitch. I hope you enjoy this video about stamped cross stitch.

    Having stitched for many years, choosing challenging designs, blank aida, etc., I’m now 72 and getting into stamped patterns bc much easier. No gridding, no uploading onto a computer and starring back and forth at a computer screen. No counting. Very very reasonable kits fr Joy Sunday and other companies which is good if you’re on a budget. I don’t have fancy project bags or fancy needle minders. Just enjoy easier patterns at this point in my life. Happy stitching

      Hello Retired Stitcher, thank you for your comments. The stamped cross stitch is indeed easier to stitch, and all the materials come in a kit. So no need to worry about buying materials to start cross stitching. Happy stitching 🥰🤩💕

      @@StitcheryLovers Is there a place where I can donate new unused patterns that I know I’m not going to stitch?

      What a great attitude. I couldn't help myself, I broke down and purchased some project bags. But, we're traveling cross country in a two- seater and, I need to be organized in the car. 😊🎉❤

    Love stamped cross stitch kits! I always have one on the go while I'm working on a counted one. That way I'm able to take a break from the counted one.

    Lesson learned: Because of the cheaper threads in these kits, I start from the bottom and work my way up rolling the fabric over the stitched area. It lessens the stitched area getting fuzzy fr repeated rubbing

    I have been doing counted cross stitch for more than 40 years and have also just discovered the pre-printed this year. I really like them for when my mind is too busy to sit and deal with the counting. Also there are patterns available in the pre-printed that you cannot get in the counted. It was very nice to find your channel today. You have a lovely soothing voice

    I tried stamped back in the ‘70s but they were horrible, the stamping could be crooked on the fabric & the symbols blurry. I was just a kid at the time, my mom taught my counted cross stitch & I never looked back. Seeing how the stamped canvases are printed now I think I will look into getting one. It looks much easier to do for a big design. Thank you!

      Hi Peggy, it’s great to hear from you. The stamped cross stitch kits that are produced today are very reliable from a design perspective and easy to use. It saves all the time of shopping for threads and supplies and it’s a much cheaper solution. Good luck with your project. Take care and Happy Stitching 🥰💕🤩

    Nice video. I have several preprinted cross stitch kits and enjoy stitching them. I have completed one and washed it. It came out beautifully. No one would ever guess that it was preprinted.

    PLEASE turn the music down. I can't hear your whispers above it. I like the pattern. Also, I cannot stress enough the importance of thread conditioner for the floss in these kits, it's a life-saver! 🌹

    Because I also sew, I would be tempted to add some regular cotton fabric to the narrow edge to make it wider so I could put it in a qsnap but that might just be me.

      Great idea! I have been doing that since. I wanted to start from the top left corner but the edge is narrow so I decided to add fabric to it. Thanks for the comments. Have a great day and Happy Stitching! 🥰

    Be careful the heat of your hand will also cause the print to fade away. Don’t get it wet at all or the print will disappear.

    • @StitcheryLovers
      @StitcheryLovers  3 года назад +1

      @juliexw2002 Thank you for that info 🥰. I will try not to get it wet. except when my dog comes rushing near me after he drinks the water and splashes the water all over the place whilst stitching lol 😆. I am glad that you enjoyed this video. Happy Stitching 🧵🥰🤩💕

    How do you know if you’re required to do cross stitch, back stitch, qtr stitch or knot if the symbols only dictate colour?

    • @StitcheryLovers
      @StitcheryLovers  4 месяца назад

      Hi Kinesis, good question. Thank you for that! I believe this pattern is recommended using full stitch. Otherwise, the stitching method will be indicated in the cross-stitch guide. Most of the stamped cross stitch I have stitched uses the full stitch (cross stitch). Take care and Happy Stitching! 🥰😊🪻🪴☀️

    I have been wanting to get a stamped cross stitch and I was wondering when you stitch one row and there is another of that color above it on a different side can the thread make the canvas bend. I don't know if that made sense but for example when you first started with the symbol X.

    • @StitcheryLovers
      @StitcheryLovers  2 года назад

      Hi, Thank you for your comments and supporting my channel. I make sure that I don’t pull the thread too much and I always keep my fabric flat at all times. Take care and Happy Stitching 🥰

    Hi can you tell me a few symbols I am not sure of. There's one with tiny dots, is the for French knots? Also one with swiggle lines,
    Another with dot in center.
    These I've never seen in cross stitch

    • @StitcheryLovers
      @StitcheryLovers  2 года назад +1

      Hi Mary, thank you for your comments. Those symbols are not for french knots. All the symbols are stitched in a full cross. Happy Stitching 🥰🤩💕
