Thank you now I know how I get started love your RUclips channel anyway please keep safe and well 😍
Hi! I'm so glad to see your video. I've just bought a kit like this to stich! Can you show us the results? Thank you
PS I a very similar start to the one you show at 25 minutes. I do it all in one square, but that's the only difference. Super fast and convenient.
I know this is an old video, but as someone who does lots of stamped kits I thought I'd a few notes 1) yes, the fabric starts off very stiff but it softens quickly and easily after just a few stitching sessions. Probably not as soft as the fabrics you use, but it does soften 2) More and more of the kits are printed on 16 and even 18 count--again not as high a count that you're used to, but higher than 14 (at the time I'm writing this there are some issues with the ink on most of those 16 and 18 count kits, but not the ones by Joy Sunday or Maydear--and they're working to fix the issue on other companies). 3) I've done about 5 kits (all 11 count) and the ink washes off easily. 4) I have never had a problem running out of thread, but I have seen several people say they run out of thread, but I have left overs from every project. I haven't had to soak them for very long--even my medium/large projects). I just started my first 14 count stamped project, and so far so good. So those are my thoughts and additions.
Thanks for sharing that information with me! It does soften for sure and I haven't finished one in order to have to wash it lol but I'll get there some day. Thanks again for sharing your experiences with me and I'll have to take a look at ones that are available in 18 count 😊.
Thank you for the stitching video 😀. I enjoy your randomness 😉
I love watching Komari’s videos. I have adapted my own style of not ending my threads 🧵 and it seems to go OK so far and speeds up my stitching.
Thank you so much! I am fascinated by her method but not brave enough to try it myself lol. You'll have to tell me your method. With all of my baps anything that helps me go faster is helpful 😉.
Thank you for getting back to me yes you are right and thank you for answering my question anyway take care
You're welcome and you too ☺️
lately my brain appreciates the "easiness" of these kits. =)
Right?! Mine too! It requires less brain power lol.
Hi I am new to all this have brought a kit anyway awesome video anyway please keep safe and well 😍
Yay! Which kit did you purchase? I love doing these because the pattern (for the most part) is printed and ready to go. I hope you love stitching it and it brings you joy 🥰.
I think stitch w/ me's are awesome for either set up. But if one is obviously more comfortable or convenient for you, people will be willing to accept that.
You're awesome! Thanks for sharing that with me 🥰. It seems the consensus is the over the head stitching so I'll stick to that for now 😁
@@AmyTaylorCreativitybygidge fair enough. It is nice to see your progress. Im glad you got an answer
Thanks. I just received my 1st maydear, haven't started yet. I have always worked on Aida, 14, 16 or 18. Can't wait to start.
hey Sweet Girl
i love kits and sometimes the printed ones are what i really need to do no fuss no muss just stitch,. love me some Anna from StitchRoadies ..... Yes do that
Right?! I am really liking the printed ones. Kind of helps take some of the brain power away so I can just enjoy the stitching 🥰
Thanks for stitching with me Amy. Loved it!
Yay! Thank you so much...this is another form of video I would like to get back to creating 🥰
@@AmyTaylorCreativitybygidge I would love it when you do so: always nice to stitch with someone and I love your chattering 😊
Awww thanks! I always start off nervous cause I never know what I'm going to talk about and then the rambles just come out lol.
@@AmyTaylorCreativitybygidge I can imagine your nervousness. Just keep on rambling: like to hear you talk 😉
Have you ever done Maydear Snow Moutain
Are you going to continue to do stitch a long to finish the project ?
Is the going to be a continued stitch a long on the project ? I am working on this one on 11 count !
I have worked on it quite a bit since this video came out but I can definitely do another stitch with me video with this one.
Got my first stamped kit and an excited to try it out. Curious did I miss your floss tube video?
Yay! You'll have to let me know what you think and no... you didn't miss the flosstube lol we are actually in the process of uploading it right now 😁
You are stitching backwards from what I do. At least you are consistent! That is what matters. I ordered this same pattern, but in 11ct. So hopefully I can see it, I hope !
I'm working on the same one.
Yay! I am loving the printed stitches. And this one is one of my favorites so I just had to start it.
@@AmyTaylorCreativitybygidge I wanted to try a printed one. Love Starry night! Only draw back iris how stiff the fabric is. I'm an Aida stitcher most of the time co I am used to a little stiff but the printed is a whole new level of stiff. But so far I'm loving it.
Yeah the fabric is definitely stiff. I haven't worked on one long enough to find out if it softens a bit over time but I hope it does 🥰
What needle threaders do younrecommend
I don't use needle threaders so I am not sure how to help you there. I usually pinch my floss over the eye of my needle and the pinch the thread really tight and pull the needle out from between my fingers and push the thread thru the eye of the needle. I'm not sure if that made any sense but if it didn't let me know and I'll try to remember on my next stitche with me video to demonstrate how I do it.
What needle would you recommend
With a stamped kit, I would go with the needle they give you. The fabric is pretty stiff when you first start working with it and will soften over time. Whenever working with a kit, I use the needle provided, but any other project and my go-to size is a 26 bohin needle.
🎶🎵🎶
Do you have to do it your way
Oh not at all. You stitch which ever way you are comfortable 😊
Sorry to bother you how many time can you criss cross cause their is a criss cross alright on the pattern anyway take care ❤
I'm not exactly sure what you mean by a criss cross on the pattern but I am hoping you mean cross stitch which is creating an X when you stitch. If so then only 1 time but you might need to look at how many stands you need. A lot of these are done on 14 count and recommend using 4-6 stands per stitch... if that makes sense 🙃
