I had a super close online friend his name was Jack. We were so close that we called each other brother and sister. He was the brother I always wanted. Not too long ago he left. I have loved this guy for a long time. He's somewhat of a campus crush. Me? I used to be fat, weird and had ugly bangs that covered half of my face. We became friends, we talked a lot about anime and music in general, he loves this song so much. I couldn't help but fall and so I did. I changed how I look and dress hoping he'd fall for me too. He told me: Don't lose yourself for love. He said that without knowing I changed coz of him. I tried to distance myself from him since then. I tried my best to act rude towards him but he was always good to me despite my efforts. One day his grandma died, he was a complete orphan and had nowhere to go. Instead of being there for him I ridiculed him and his grandma. I'm the worst × __×. Yet still he thought of me as a friend. Last month, he passed away due to corona, he was alone in his house. I can't imagine how terrible it was to be alone :< in the face of death. I wish i did something. I still love him till now and will always love him. He is my biggest regret. I will try to help people in need now, for him. I love you.

IMO, it is based on how a person perceives and sees the things that are happening around him/her and what his/her experiences are. If he/she is a positive thinker, regardless of his/her experiences and happenings around, he/she would be likely to think it is okay but if she isn't, of course she wouldn't. I do agree with you about the thing that when we grow up, we see many stuffs and realize reality as well as seeing the harsh truths about life itself. Thus, the beauty of life slowly fades away from your sight, right? Well, let's be reasonable here, things do always change throughout our lives, one day might be light, good and nice and the other is dark, bad and unfortunate, life isn't stagnant, life is also like seasons that change. The beauty of life is just behind us, it slowly moves away because we are turning and looking on the other side, we are turning because we do think that life is becoming harsh, bad, unfortunate, abstruse, tiring and tedious. Also, perhaps, we don't have enough time to enjoy life, escape problems and hang out and bond with our loved ones. I have loved this guy for a long time. He's somewhat of a campus crush. Me? I used to be fat, weird and had ugly bangs that covered half of my face. We became friends, we talked a lot about anime and music in general, he loves this song so much. I couldn't help but fall and so I did. I changed how I look and dress hoping he'd fall for me too.
He told me: Don't lose yourself for love.
He said that without knowing I changed coz of him. I tried to distance myself from him since then. I tried my best to act rude towards him but he was always good to me despite my efforts. One day his grandma died, he was a complete orphan and had nowhere to go. Instead of being there for him I ridiculed him and his grandma. I'm the worst × __×. Yet still he thought of me as a friend. Last month, he passed away due to corona, he was alone in his house. I can't imagine how terrible it was to be alone :< in the face of death. I wish i did something. I still love him till now and will always love him. He is my biggest regret. I will try to help people in need now, for him.

This song just broke me down over and over especially since I was about to lose my significant other.. it was so painful yet I couldn't stop thinking of the good times. I broke and broke but still smiled on the outside.. I chased after her. I ended up doing whatever I could have just to stay with her.. It had a happy ending.. :')

The reason we fall in love with anime characters is because when we love someone who isnt real, we have no fear of what they will think of us because they could never say anything bad or say they love us back so were able to fall in love with no fear. Unlike the real people...
And because we are able to know what they think, we are able to read their feelings no matter how great or hard they hide it unlike other people in the real world.

Life is beautiful as a kid, and it has always been beautiful. But as we grow up, we start to see other things, realize many stuff, and see reality, and the beauty of life slowly moves away from our eyes. Life is beautiful, there are lots of things worth remembering, seeing and experiencing for. In fact, our existence is also beautiful, in many ways.
Life can be either okay or not. IMO, it is based on how a person perceives and sees the things that are happening around him/her and what his/her experiences are. If he/she is a positive thinker, regardless of his/her experiences and happenings around, he/she would be likely to think it is okay but if she isn't, of course she wouldn't.
I do agree with you about the thing that when we grow up, we see many stuffs and realize reality as well as seeing the harsh truths about life itself. Thus, the beauty of life slowly fades away from your sight, right? Well, let's be reasonable here, things do always change throughout our lives, one day might be light, good and nice and the other is dark, bad and unfortunate, life isn't stagnant, life is also like seasons that change.
The beauty of life is just behind us, it slowly moves away because we are turning and looking on the other side, we are turning because we do think that life is becoming harsh, bad, unfortunate, abstruse, tiring and tedious. Also, perhaps, we don't have enough time to enjoy life, escape problems and hang out and bond with our loved ones. If we could think that life is good and be positive and also find time to have fun, we could look back again, right? Just my .02.
So, in short, I would just like to say that try to be positive and have time to look at your back buddy, have a good day and cheer up.
