Most mainland Indians don't know the Assam Rifles in Manipur have been stationed and deployed for more than 100 years. When the Anglo-Manipur War of 1891 took place and the Maharaja and his brothers were arrested, it was the Assam Rifles under the British colonial masters.
There's a statue of Meira Paibis confronting the Assam Rifles at the Nupllal Memorial Complex, situated next to the Imphal head post office, to commemorate an event that took place on December 12, 1939, depicting the unputdownable spirit of Manipuri mothers like the symbolic Ma Durga fighting the demon king Mahisasura. In high time, the AR shifted from Manipur and also changed its name to a more suitable one to erase the memory of the British colonial oppressions.

Most appreciated to the central government to remove AR from Manipur. Most of tribal people mostly Kukis insurance which are migrated from Myanmar were planted poppy and and income come from that plantation were commission to AR which are deployed in Manipur. So I suggested to central government to replace any force on rotational basic as Army by by rotating after tenure of three or two years

Mr. Misao, no CSOs or Manipur govt says/alledged that every kukis does poppy plantation, only those guilty tries to defend, the way you are defending shows your true colour. Sudden act of kuki-jo of burning houses/ killing meitei & demanding SA within 10 days of yours(kuki-jo) shows preplan of ill motive with intention. Why formation of so many nos of militant groups led by citizens of myanmar without waging war against state ? It was all to loot in the highways and preperation to take control of forest land for poppy plantation. We want to keep any kind of central forces like BSF or CRPF but why kuki want only to keep assam rifles. This is the biggest question why kuki want only AR.

Why movement of security force should be consulted with locals. Deployment of forces has nothing to do with the will of local people.
There are more than 60 thousand centrel forses in manipur, what actions are taken till now in the conflict against kuki terrorists, firing by the kuki near centrel forses they did not prevent, when firing by meitei they try to arrest, what is hidden agenda, so the coflict is going on
