Really enjoyed the video. I have a stomach issue as well that limits how much I can usually do in the gym so it's nice seeing someone else who has similar challenges figuring out how to work through them.
I would love to know how it feels like to have a core as strong as Brians. Yeah he deadlifts/squats/overhead presses/bench presses a ton.....Okay, most of it also comes from him having an amazing core.... But he does all this heavy shit and then just goes to the power rack and performs a human flag with his bodyweight..... His core is just nuts
Brian is strong as hell, explosive and athletic, is freaking shredded, does mma and BJJ...all while fighting severe damage done by parasites....is there anything this man cant do?
Check out the older videos from his channel. Brian weighed a lot more a few years ago. He's still stronger than 99% of us today, but a few years ago Brian looked like a real monster.
Its good to.know that you can train to get that strong and explosive, people always say about dudes like Brian that some people are born strong fuck outta here, indeed some are naturally stronger but if you do strongman training youll def be stronger and more explosive than some bodybuilding dude
He really is. Just about as inspiring and motivating as a single human being ever could be. And to top it off, he's just a wonderful and caring person who only wants the best out of and for those he works with. He's a real one in a million, to be sure.
Inspirational stuff Brian. We are not defined by how we deal with success and the easy but by how we deal with adversity and difficulty. You continue to crush it! Love your work mate.
I don't like relying on videos to inspire me to train since I want to work on self discipline, but holy fuck, does this just make you want to really push yourself and see what you can do, no matter what's trying to slow you down. Awesome job Brian and awesome video elitefts!
Great series to watch. It's very inspiring to see how many new opportunities life brings you after the struggle you've been through. I hope that elitefts crew have learned something from you as you've learned from them.
Brian is extremely impressive! His strength and power including his conditioning and athleticism especially for a guy his size is quite commendable. He’s a huge inspiration for all of us. 💪🙏👍
If anyone is interested in giant sets, I would advise adding them in over the course of a program. For example in Brian's Darkhorse program, do them in the strength portion the first 3 weeks. Add them to the volume along with the strength in the 2 3 week block. In the last block add them to the accessory part of the session. By the time weeks 7-9 come, you'll be ready for anything! At first, they can be overwhelming. But, think about them in the same way you think about lifts. You build to the big líft over time. You should build to the great conditioning too. Just my opinion
@@Crimson_Abyss_IV If you go to his channel there is usually a link below every video. Lots of free programs as well so check them out, it's well worth it.
I just bought the minimalist program and this is exactly the conclusion I came to after absolutely DYING because my.condirioning is so bad after straight powerlifting for a year.
What Brian said at the 9:00 mark I completely agree with as long as your getting after it that's what's really important and I may not race to failure on EVERY set but I try to hit failure on every exercise and if I don't hit failure at the end of all my sets then I usually do an isometric hold all the way to failure or two unilateral sets to failure at the end of the bilateral exercise sets. So yes Brian I do train to failure at least once on every body part just about every time I lift. I just don't race to failure yet like you do because I'm still trying to build my strength up. And I believe that my method works just fine for me......at least for now.
This was a great video and I really appreciate the demonstration. I might even try this in my own training one day but I'm not sure yet. But still great video.
ryan rogers It’s not his primary sport but yeah he’s said he wouldn’t be able to train in martial arts if he was doing traditional powerlifting. He doesn’t compete in grappling or MMA, his primary sport is strongman But as he says it has good carry over to both. There are a few athletes that do both strongman and MMA/other combat sports. It seems to be the one strength sport you can really combine with another high fitness high athletic demand sport and succeed at both. It’s definitely good conditioning for martial artists. When I was boxing we did a lot of the stuff he does just without the heavy lifts but some of the better fighting coaches know the value of heavy weights for mma when utilized correctly... but I digress.
Try seeing about hypnotherapy brother I believe this could stop the triggers and get you back. Operational conditioning comes to mind as well theres a way to stop that response if your willing. Sounds like if its non mental its ION and ph related from the worms!
Brian lifts such light weights. They would kill most people, but hey, light to him and objectively light weight totally different reality for him. haha.
Bro I loved Brian alsruhe until I finally heard him mention counter terrorism contracting…this dudes so fake I can’t believe multiple people aren’t calling him on this BS…there’s actual tier1 operators out here talking about actual stuff and this dudes acting like he did too secret stuff anyone who did anything in the military know this is fake
This was such a great time and such an awesome opportunity! Thank you guys for having me, I hope to come back again soon!
Keep killing it brother! Truly an inspiration to many!!!
We love ya man! Glad to see you getting featured on elitefts

@@FramedProductions Look through Alsruhe's RUclips channel mate, he's pretty inspiring. We can all push through to be better in some way.
Another guy and myself recognized each other doing giant sets and said "neversate!!!!"
*another guy and I ;)
Do you make eye contact and feel all warm inside?
I lost it when it cuts from Dave's excitement to him violently vomiting into the bucket
you are right. that was so awesome.
max effort bruh
Uh , something concerning about this .
Samuel Clemons for sure. But he vomits after most lower body workouts so that is just Dave.
@@CatsBanana-1983 NOT GOOD at his age and bodyweight.
Brian’s training gets you stronger in life, not just in a power rack

Brian is an awesome dude, thank you elite FTS for having him out there
No, thank you.
So fucking glad that Brian is getting more exposure. Dude's a legend but most importantly he is humble af.
Brian is a madman. To do that kind of work with that type of issue still lingering is impressive as hell.
Brian is strong as hell, explosive and athletic, is freaking shredded, does mma and BJJ...all while fighting severe damage done by parasites....is there anything this man cant do?
Yes. He can not, and will not, sate. Ever. Never sate.
Dont forget he broke his back twice and hunted terrorists. Guys a beast!
@@iamsam369 also broke his shoulder and after a while got infection in the wound
Makes you realise that most people have no justification for complaining about most things
Counter-terrorism, MMA, strongman, powerlifting, and that BALLISTIC conditioning style. Pure badassery at work right here!!!!!
Brian remains one of my favorite content creators in the field.
This guy was lifting some excellent numbers even in spite of puking every day and dealing with the parasites
Check out the older videos from his channel. Brian weighed a lot more a few years ago. He's still stronger than 99% of us today, but a few years ago Brian looked like a real monster.
0:38 that's pretty much the reaction of all of us watching Brian
This guy is scary strong and explosive.

Brian is the only person who can say he is built different. He’s a fucking super soldier such an inspiration.
One dislike.....It was from Dave Tate, because Brian even suggested that Dave would do a burpee broad jump.
He could work up to one max effort Burpee broad jump!
Brian is the freaking man. Love his channel. My favorite part of this video was watching Dave Tate squat to hips don't lie.
NeverSate....great group been following for years now...really have helped me grab concepts of training
Brian and Dave are my two favorite reminders that I could be working harder.
6 minutes in - We Who Are Not As Others by Sepultura - followed by Brian doing windshield wipers. How appropriate!

Watching Brian do the burpee broadjumps across that area was scary.
That man just flew clear across the gym
Go Brian!
I didn't know you had hair under your hat. I always assumed there was another hat under your hat!
That burpee into jump thing he did looks so cool. I'm gonna try that for my conditioning tomorrow. One rep of each is enough for me I think.

What is the background song I. The beginning? Sounds familiar
Is (Dave ? ) invoking the Viking Berserker spirit before that squat ??
Anyone know roughly what weight the blue balls/ bags are?
What a fuckin boss !!
the contrast b/w tate and alsruhe is pretty lol
I want this guy's pre-workout
Coffee. What you want is a cup of coffee.
Awesome vid +1 sub
I've lived in Ohio my whole life, and omg there's a London, OH??
I like how when Brian lifts it plays fucking Pantera and when the dude did the squad it was Shakira haah
What are those atlas stone like blue balls
Heavy "slamballs"
Brian was built to fight bad guys. Put him in a marvel movie
What is the reason for sitting down at the end of the squat?
meanwhile 😂🫠
Is Alsruhe dying? Seems like he always has something major wrong with him?
Was. Believe he's slowly getting healthier again.
I was yes
how can you lift listening to Shakira ffs
I think Brian likes pain
