Brian has got to be hands down the biggest unknown gem of youtube fitness. To have only 1000 subs for his level of content is insane. But not for much longer, should be blowing up now, thanks for featuring him!
Sean MacConnell I know u said this a year ago but did he fr only have 1000? That's insane how much it's grown since then. I subscribed to him just a few weeks ago
Watching this in 2020. Thank you Alan for bringing Brian up, I didn’t know you did this. He’s absolutely amazing, easily one of my top favorite channels, also an amazing guy. You two are the best! Much love.
Wow, 3 years later Brian and Neversate have gone viral. I'm training for my first strongman in October thanks to you guys. Thank you Alan! You've been an awesome coach.
I like the lighter approach to strongman training that he preaches. It seems too many strongmen get into the idea of always going heavy and thus getting hurt all the time. There is a time and place for going heavy, but only after you've established good technique and built a base from lighter training. Even then, going heavy all the time doesn't seem necessary.
The periodization quickly becomes important as soon as you get some serious weight going. Something everyone will learn sooner or later, or you'll find yourself one day suddenly being seriously weak after being used to feeling pretty strong ;) Great video guys! Love your channels and the work you do!
Awesome! I will try this! Thanks to Brian and Alan! Btw: Would be awesome to have somemore examples for the assistance exercises if possible! Subscribed!
Alan so glad your working with him. You guys are the only ones I really watch for strongman and lifting advice and info. Y'all keep it clean for my kid to watch to for the most part. ;-)
I trained this method about 3 years go and i did great for my provincial strongman contest. Its a prep workout that are fun to do. Thanks Allan and Brian!
This was a great feature. I'm glad you're using your RUclips influence to bring attention to other creators with quality content. Thanks for putting out consistently good material.
Two regrets. I just found Alan and Brian in the last two months. 2. I am just starting my powerlifting journey at 60 years old. Not a regret. I just found Brian and Alan, and I am starting this powerlifting journey now. ... Thanks so much Brian and Alan and this community.
I'm not a competitor, but I workout and try to get information to do it better all the time. And for me this is fantastic, I really need a strenght program and how to divide my train properly. It's very hard to find a competent coach where I live, I'm tired of seeing "personal trainers' putting on wrong technics.
His subscriber number may be relatively little but believe me Brian has a huge fan base outside of RUclips. Absolute beast and legend with iron and the pen. It's only a matter of time before he is one of the main RUclips " fitness" channels. Peace and love
So glad I was told about this video. I've been struggling for awhile to find a split/program that I really enjoy for strength. I'll be starting this next week, and I can't wait to see how it goes! Thank you Brian and Alan!
Hey Alan and Brian, I really appreciate this video. I have my first strongman in two months here in TX and I've been going at it hard everyday but I can see what Brian is talking about with the cns and bodyparts getting strained. Makes sense with his programming- smart stuff. Also, Alan, I was trying the tire flips with your form from your strength challenge. I definitely like that method and no one else in the gym has seen that before. Good information, thanks for posting!
Absolutely the most satisfying 💪 work of my short career. That was awesome, can't wait to see what the whole template can do for me! Thanks so much! Started Day 3 due my life, best squat day of my life! Thanks so much!
Brian Alshrue, Bioneer and JeffCavaliereAthleanxdotxom are my mentors. Im glad Alan had Brian on his channel when he did because man its been a journey
+Brian Alsruhe I "knew" you as a Tnation lurker myself ! I remembered your screename for your impressive Front Squats and debates about full body splits ! Subbed to your channel, keep it up !
Jesus man, Alan was right, people stock this kind of thing into a 10 page PDF and sell it for $10. And I pay for it. Huge props for doing this out of love for the sport instead of capitalism, subscribed.
Already follow Brian and love his stuff, informative, interesting and I really like the way he edits in comments. Have come over from Brians channel and going to subscribe and watch some of you vids Alan (that should keep me busy at work today ;-) ) Great to see him doing something with you Alan and would be good so see a training video with you both in it. Keep up the good work Brian and Alan. Quality as always.
Thank you for the presentation, I was wondering why you selected: -60-70% with 3-5 reps -70-80% for 8-12 reps I just would like to understand your methodology on that if you are willing to share. Thank you again for the information.
Hi everyone, i'm 17, my weight is 61kg and i started powerlifting about 7 months ago and have achieved the results i wanted 7 months ago. But now, i'm aiming for a 160kg deadlift, a 130kg squats and a 90kg benchpress. Currently, my max for each lift is 130kg , 90kg and a 80kg respectively. I can see results for both my squats and bench but it is going at a very slow rate. As for deadlift , i have been feeling no strength gained but instead my strength is going down. ( Sorry for my bad english.) I will start from my deadlift. Ever since i have broken my 130kg record which was at 16 April with a very bad form and i didn't deload that week. Ever since then, my deadlift has been shit whenever i try to do 90 - 100kg for reps. I tried to have a 2 weeks break but when i came back, i can see a little to none improvement to my deadlift. After that, i tried to take a 1 week break and i came back worser. How can i fix it? As for my squats and bench, it has been improving very slowly. I don't really have a problem for my squats as i can feel the weight getting lighter each month. But for my bench, ever since i have taken the 1 week rest along with the deadlift, i couldn't even do 60kg for reps. I used to be able to spam the 60kg bench for 8 reps for set. But i can't even pause the weight without having a little bit of difficulty grinding the weights. How do i solve this problem i am having? Can anyone help me? Also , i don't really have a meal plan. I eat whenever i like which some days after hitting gym, i don't really eat at all. My sleep schedule is all messed up due to my insomnia. Sometimes sleeping only for 4 hours and sometimes 9.
the main reasons are you must sleep more , eat more so you gain weight and more muscle and more strength, maybe go on a different program like 5x3x1 or something, i mean try different programs and see which one Works best for you :)
That cricket around 8:00 was freakin me out; I was looking for it in the room while the video was playing. I wish Brian's gym was closer to me. The distance is a dicktease- the gym's 3hours away so I could get there, but not enough to benefit like if I was a regular there
Thank you so much for this video! Ive been wanting to get into a strongman routine and eventually into a competition. I will also head over to his channel and subscribe, no doubt i can value from his resources. \m/
From what I understand, Strength is what you always start with, then Assistance, then Strongman. It doesn't make a whole lot of sense (to me at least) to do you assistance work before your main lift, which would eventually occur if you always do heavy-medium-light.
Love this! Been working out with Brian for a while and he's such an inspiration. I'm an adaptive athlete and have improved a ton. Do you have experience with adaptive athletes?
Brian has got to be hands down the biggest unknown gem of youtube fitness. To have only 1000 subs for his level of content is insane. But not for much longer, should be blowing up now, thanks for featuring him!
Thanks so much for saying that man!
No problem dude, it's the truth.
Sean MacConnell I know u said this a year ago but did he fr only have 1000? That's insane how much it's grown since then. I subscribed to him just a few weeks ago
Someone just sent this to me, definitely subscribing to this channel
150k and counting

Watching this in 2020. Thank you Alan for bringing Brian up, I didn’t know you did this. He’s absolutely amazing, easily one of my top favorite channels, also an amazing guy. You two are the best! Much love.
Simple and informative, that's all we need
Thanks man, I appreciate that!
+Brian Alsruhe
I subscribed. Enjoyed the video!
Thanks!
frequency 1 is not a problem to get stronger?
Nope, but I am not sure i understood the question completely
Wow, 3 years later Brian and Neversate have gone viral. I'm training for my first strongman in October thanks to you guys. Thank you Alan! You've been an awesome coach.
How did you do
Cricket in the background really creates that outdoor strongman mood.
About time u get some exposure mate well done
Thanks brother!
Going to have to check this out! Honestly, even though I'm a powerlifter I think strongman is way more raw.
It is a fun sport man, you should definitely give it a try and it will make your powerlifting numbers shoot way up
I definitely plan on it. Ideally I want to get my own little "setup" going before I start a program.
+Jon Chambers what you're saying is I will not do it
Not sure what you mean amigo. I train 6 days a week. Definitely not afraid of heavy weights and hard work =)
+Jon Chambers k
I liked this new guy, I'm going to check him now.
Thanks you so much, I would appreciate that!
Definitely got a new subscriber here! These are my two favorite channels on you tube
That is awesome James, thank you!
lol for the first 7 minutes I thought there was a cricket in my house! Great information!
Two of my favorite dudes. Both have inspired me tremendously.
Huge fan of Brian's channel and great to see him getting that recognition. Props to you Alan for bringing him on for a shout-out
Perfect timing, just as I was out to start some real strongman training!
Hands down the best teacher I've found on the Internet, amazing bloke, thanks for all the inspiration Brian 👍🏻
Awesome to see you giving Brian such an endorsement. He's a savage and is definitely a knowledgeable guy. Very deserving of subscribers/views.
Incredible numbers with the barbell but the most impressive thing is... that beautiful handwriting!!! LOL
The periodization quickly becomes important as soon as you get some serious weight going. Something everyone will learn sooner or later, or you'll find yourself one day suddenly being seriously weak after being used to feeling pretty strong ;)
Great video guys! Love your channels and the work you do!
hi, just starting to introduce strongman training so this video was awesome for me, thanks.
Awesome! I will try this! Thanks to Brian and Alan!

Never tried a strong man program. This may be worth a try! great video!
Did you try it out?
Two regrets. I just found Alan and Brian in the last two months. 2. I am just starting my powerlifting journey at 60 years old. Not a regret. I just found Brian and Alan, and I am starting this powerlifting journey now. ... Thanks so much Brian and Alan and this community.
Alan you have found a real talent. This guy's legit and he is an asset to your channel. more collaborations please
I'm not a competitor, but I workout and try to get information to do it better all the time. And for me this is fantastic, I really need a strenght program and how to divide my train properly. ALAN you are a real class act helping Brian's channel
His subscriber number may be relatively little but believe me Brian has a huge fan base outside of RUclips. Absolute beast and legend with iron and the pen. It's only a matter of time before he is one of the main RUclips " fitness" channels. Peace and love
Brian is such a great inspirational RUclipsr. I love him. ❤️
So glad I was told about this video. I've been struggling for awhile to find a split/program that I really enjoy for strength. I'll be starting this next week, and I can't wait to see how it goes! Thank you Brian and Alan!
Brian is an absolute beast! Deserves the exposure

This is great. In my country, strongman it's not popular at all! Thank you Brian, subscribing immediately cuz I really want to be a strongwoman!
That was very much appreciated Alan. Class act.
Programming made easy, good job man. Everyone should be able to put something together with this template. Also subbed to your channel.
Absolutely the most satisfying 💪 work of my short career. That was awesome, can't wait to see what the whole template can do for me! Thanks so much! Started Day 3 due my life, best squat day of my life! Thanks so much!
Thanks! Once I finish the program I'm doing now I'll definitely put some of this in my next program.
Definitely give it a try!
Brian Alshrue, Bioneer and JeffCavaliereAthleanxdotxom are my mentors. Im glad Alan had Brian on his channel when he did because man its been a journey
Brian's channel is awesome, so much knowledge.
Subbed i like him, this is a very straight forward program and leaves room for you to be creative.. And i like that because i hate boring programs.
Definitely subscribing to Brian's channel, seems like a sound guy.
Nice program too
Thanks brother!
I love this there's not a lot of this going on in the UK but strongman has been great to me
You and him have basically the same training philosophies. Liked it, well spoken guy.
Thanks brother!
+Brian Alsruhe I "knew" you as a Tnation lurker myself ! I remembered your screename for your impressive Front Squats and debates about full body splits ! Subbed to your channel, keep it up !

I could tell that the cricket sound was bothering you at the beginning LOL. Great video guys. Thanks for all the great info!
Hahahah stupid cricket...
Good vid. Subbed to Brian's channel. Appreciate the info and solid vids from both ya'll.
love it, I knew when I only did heavy deadlifts every two weeks I was stronger,
Brilliant video, well laid out with good content. Subscribed.
and i forgot to mention, thx a lot for all your vids they really keep my going!!!
Thank you for the presentation, I was wondering why you selected:
-60-70% with 3-5 reps
-70-80% for 8-12 reps
I just would like to understand your methodology on that if you are willing to share.
Thank you again for the information.
He did explain. 60 to 70 is " light " to work technique and explosiveness and 70 to 80 is more endurance and for muscle hypertrophy
Hi Alan, I liked the information. Can you do a video on strong Women competition? Challenges, training, etc. Thanks!
"I'm gonna assume that you're working out monday wednesday friday and saturday morning" how the fuck did he know? Suscribing
Hahahaha I see things man...
Technique is kind and strength is a skill. Yep. Found that out on continental clean and press last weekend.
Hahaha they are horrible but necessary in the strongman world
My split: Legs & Biceps, Chest & Core, Shoulders & Back
Very comprehensive. I like it
Thank you!

That cricket around 8:00 was freakin me out; I was looking for it in the room while the video was playing. I wish Brian's gym was closer to me. The distance is a dicktease- the gym's 3hours away so I could get there, but not enough to benefit like if I was a regular there
He's got himself a sub 👍🏻 thanks Alan.
Alan ,Really like the videos your putting out
This is awesome! Simple, yet there's variety. Overall bad ass seal of approval ;]
Awesome! I was wondering if you guys were gonna collab soon, sickkk
Yea man, I am super grateful to him for featuring me!
Cool matrix dude! that should help in figuring out when to go heavy and when to go light.
Thank you so much for this video! Ive been wanting to get into a strongman routine and eventually into a competition. I will also head over to his channel and subscribe, no doubt i can value from his resources. \m/
Thank you!
No worries! I was literally just binge watching your channel (Late shift at work rules =P )
Hahahaha that's awesome!
I'll try this and see if my body responds. So far my muscle fibers seem more responsive to cardiovascular endurance and leg Powerlifting training.
this is awesome. really appriciate this guys.
thanks alot! love u guys!!
If you’d like to get better at basketball you must consistently practice. Life is a sport meaning practice like you play
Congrats Brian !!

Good stuff... Good presentation, easy to follow and understand. You'd make a good instructor.
Nice to know i m not the only one training with a cricket in his garage
Very informative and great presentation. Subscribed.
Thanks man!
Great information. Do you continue to repeat the 3-week cycle once completed or do you deload? If so how does that work?
amazing video, pretty helpful info. keep the videos coming.
Brian's jaw can deadlift more than I can.
Good stuff Brian, thanks! Subscribed!
Loved this video, he's got a new subscriber!
Q: is it better to perform the exercices STRENGH before ASSIST before STRONGMAN or should I do HEAVY - MEDIUM - LIGHT?
got the answer yet?
From what I understand, Strength is what you always start with, then Assistance, then Strongman. It doesn't make a whole lot of sense (to me at least) to do you assistance work before your main lift, which would eventually occur if you always do heavy-medium-light.
Brian is a beast I follow him on Oneset
Love this! Been working out with Brian for a while and he's such an inspiration. I'm an adaptive athlete and have improved a ton. Do you have experience with adaptive athletes?
Oh this is that dude from oneset. Freaking beast
new subscriber here for sure! very well done!
