- Today we're working on a 2014 Honda CTX 700. We will be doing an oil change and a filter change as well as the DCT filter change. This bike shares oil in both the transmission and engine but uses two different filters. let me show you where they're at let's get started.

Just got my CTX. Thank you for this video. It covers everything and answered every question I had about an oil change.
Used you as a reference to just know what tools & where the drain bolt was, so appreciate the video so I didn't have to go to a shop!
Did you change the drain plug sealing washer/crush washer? I'm guessing if it doesn't leak it's fine

Do you happen to have the replacement filter numbers?
Main oil filter, HF204 or aftermarket KN204
Secondary oil filter (that weird side hatch one), HONDA 15412-MGS-D21 ELEMENT
I don’t see the act filter on mine is that normal ?
DCT filter for bikes with DCT transmission bikes only.
The first time I changed the oil, that little cover for the small filter, cracked!! Had to order a new one from Honda, didn’t even use a lot of force!!😏 Gonna do an oil and filter change today 👍🏼
I cannot find a spec. for oil pump drive chain slack for my 2007 shadow vt750. I seems to have a lot of slack as well as side to side play, almost enough that it is rubbing on the gear behind the clutch basket.
Does honda not seecify this for any models?

No spec for that, no adjustment. If it's worn that much I would replace the chain and sprockets or at least inspect them for wear.
What's the torque spec on the oil drain bolt ?
22ftlbs but I usually just snug it by hand.

Sure I'll put it on the list. This is my main bike right now, I love it.
We have the same bike ctx700N dct.Mine has been into hibernation for a while.when i tried to start it up it wont start,battery ok but i got the temp warning lights on.according to the manual its 1-5 steps,checked the coolants its really low.so thats the 1st step i am gonna do flush the radiator then fill the reservoir coolant…but i dont see any video on CTX700N dct,but a lot of video on radiator coolant flush on NC700.
