Great video Will! You guys found a lot of manders ☺️. I loved that clean marbled salamander and that huge spotted. I really like the slimy salamanders as well. Another awesome video with my two favorite herpers. Keep it up Will and have a great evening! 😄💙🐬🐍🐊
The clean marbled was the most amazing marbled I've ever seen, (mostly because I've never seen a marbled.) The spotted with the orange neon spots and yellow neon spots was my favorite salamander that you found. The brown snake in the water was really weird, there are a whole lot of brown snakes were I live and I've never seen a brown snake in a puddle when its under 50 degrees.
I think the Marbled’s are my favorite salamanders as well. That one was indeed an absolutely gorgeous specimen! And then the very next aspired was not to be outdone . . . Stunning!
Fantastic video Will! Insane variation among those spotted Salamanders, some of the nicest I've seen. Some of the ones up here have few spots or little to know spots. It also seems like they reproduce earlier in the year down there. peak ambystoma season should be right around the corner!
So many amazing Phibs and the anole and snake were a good plus. Those chorus frogs are so much different than the ones we have here in WI. The Boreal chorus frogs have stripes.
I watch Noah, I watch you…I forget half the time if I’ve seen it already on the others channel. So I just watch you both all over agin 😂I wish we had salamanders over here in the uk. They look amazing.
Hey Will great videos, me and my kids really enjoy them, we would love to do some herping in the pine barrens this summer, we live in northwestern NJ and are pretty familiar with this area but have no idea where to start in south jersey, any pointers to good locations would be great, thank you and keep up with the great videos!! Andy and family
Did Noah take you to a special place with a bunch of marbleds and spotteds, or is that area of Georgia just that good? I've been trying to find some ambystomids but no luck yet
I dont know that I have ever considered the size of a salamander vs how much mucus or media they put out with their eggs. Seems a lot of volume compared to body size. I dont know how large the area you were looking at was but there seemed to be a lot of lil salamanders. I hope their populations keep going
I thought from the title that you traveled west and you found alligator lizards. Those look a little like gummy lizards. Lizards are much more closely related to us than any amphibian. So calling salamanders gummy temnospondyls would be better. Also marbled salamanders are among the most beautiful salamanders in the world, not only in the US. The European fire salamander has an edge on the spotted though. Both are extremely convergent.

Those Yellow-throated Warblers just wouldn’t shut up! Great vid.

PThat was an exceptional Marbled! Probably the brightest one I've ever seen.

Didn't know the UK was void of salamanders! That's a bummer...
@@scottnixon2899 we get newts, but that’s about it. We have very few snake and lizard species too.

Best salamander video ever!
The clean white coloration is because it’s an adult male! Females are the greyish ones.
