Currently I still use the application, I even discovered recently that I can record video in 4K from my front camera without any problem when the factory settigs of my phone just specify Full HD for the front camera. It is a pity that the author no longer took out more updates, I just hope that the app does not disappear from the store.
Developer has kinda dropped off the map. Not enough people talking about this app and Ck47 pro. Both look better than filmic pro. Would love to see filmic buy their code and incorporate
The Reason for Not be able to record in 4K is simply because Android aka Google has limited the recording size for ALL 3rd Party apps... Its impossible to record native 4K except for the native Camera app on your Smartphone provided by Android. But this is as you said ultra low bitrate.. I can definitly recomment to use the app. Because you can Upscale your Footage and Grade your Footage easily with the upscale functions in Davinci Resolve. The Resulting Image quality is like true 4k because the upscale algorythms provided by modern highend Editing tools Like Fusion or Davinci Resolve or even Nuke are Outstanding. BTW. Hollywood is recording at 2K most of the time. They Upscaling it to 4K... this is normal behaviour.
Alexander Weide But other android smartphones allows to shoot 4k. An the resolution that's available in the s8 is just tiny bit smaller than 4k, I was just pointing it out in the vid. Btw I'm using premiere pro cc as editing software so what do you think about that.
yeah. Android has not allowed it on the S8 and above i guess and only with the latest updates. But yeah its no problem. I shoot at 3.5k and upscale it to 4k..and it looks brilliant. My Opinion about Premiere is that, Its a good working app for low quality videos but when you like highend. Also Color mastering in 4K or for the big screen, there is no way around davinci resolve at the moment. Its fast, and you get a high quality HDR preview while editing. Thats not possible in any other tool yet. This entire preview rendering stuff that you need in final cut and premiere is gone in davinci, like on the avid. Avid is also really really nice too.
at least most highend stuff will be edited on avid, lightworks or in davinci resolve. But most of the newer stuff is done in davinci. www.blackmagicdesign.com/media/release/20180709-01 and its also very fair priced.. 309 bugs for the studio license... a lifetime license.. for the specific version that you have bought
