This is no less than brilliant.. I watch this at least once every day starting at breakfast time and thoroughly believe that when I can exactly replicate the playing and emotion I will overcome all the evil in the world... And I also thoroughly believe that the 8 people who dislike this must just hate music. That is all....
What a roundabout way I've come to realise Ian Siegel's great talent. While watching the BBC 4 documentary on Jeff Beck 'Still on the Run' - I googled Carmen Vanderberg and found her playing some mean guitar alongside Ian Siegel on Sweet Little Rock & Roller at the Borderline, London. What a fine talent Ian is - this rendition is simply superb!!
Saw him a few years ago at "Blues on the Farm", marvellous. No idea why he isn't recognised as the UKs most top bluesman. He's on tour with Wilko Johnson shoule be a fantaistic night.
@bluesoulady He appeared solo and unbilled in Llandudno suppprting Bill Wyman's Rhythm Kings in around 2007 - me and my dad went. Ian just did House Rent Blues/One Bourbon, One Scotch and One Beer in part while the audience were still sitting. We hadn't heard of Ian before and after about 30 seconds from the start we turned to each other and realised we were both literally "gobsmacked". We now have all the Ian Siegal CDs but never bought any Rhythm Kings :) Would love to see Ian live again !!
@MakinMagicFractals he sure is fab, havent yet seen him live but my mate got me a signed cd when he was a festival last year and a piccy! good blues......
Great performance, I like the way Ian Siegal emotes, you can really tell he's connected to the music he plays ... btw, if you like Ian Siegal you also might like Bushmaster featuring Gary Brown, check out their song "Nothing Up Your Sleeve" on my youtube channel. Your friend in music, Unoyaga
Have I been living under a stone ? How have I not heard of this guy ? This is just amazing stuff, the last 50 or so views are all me. Fantastic !!
