Sorry about the bad audio quality on this one. (Crackle.) But as I mention in the video, I’m upgrading my gear later this month so this should be the LAST time you’ll have to put up with such low quality. I’m really looking forward to getting out and taking some decent video soon!! The only question is which project to work on first... 🤔
It sounds like you will be busy in the coming months or years. A lot of interesting projects on your to-do list. Look forward to seeing the videos. Cheers!
Hey, Jordan, the beer review was pretty good and we are excited about your planned topics! Your current logo is fine and I think appropriately signaling that you are a bit more of a serious channel that goes deeper into Japan and its culture (although a cute dog is never a bad idea). It would be nice if you could include price information on things you eat and drink. For instance, Tsukiji Outer Market is like 4x more expensive than anywhere else in Tokyo for the same items
Hi Jordan, it looks like you have some good videos coming up. While you know I'm not a beer fan I will be watching for the sake festival and fence videos (I also really like old Japanese drains, go figure😅). As for your logo, that's your choice, but I'm guessing you'll be changing it up. Go with your gut. Have fun with the new equipment too.
Looking forward to the "walls and gates of japan" video! I love Japanese architecture, especially shrines. I've watched all your videos, and I like your attention to detail! keep up the great work, Jordan!
Jordan! I’m headed in 3 weeks to Japan for the first time, Tokyo and Osaka. I’m a beer drinker and whiskey lover… do you have any recommendations on your favorite spots for a nice beer?
@@LouEaze wow, that’s exciting!! And, yes I have some recommendations for you. In fact, the video I’m working on RIGHT NOW is “Best Beer Spots in Osaka”. 😆 In case I can’t get it finished though, I’d be happy to pass you a few suggestions in the meantime. First, a question: are you more interested in traditional beer styles, or newer stuff (IPA derivatives, sours, or more experimental brews)? Or a mix of the two?
@Jordan-inJapan that’s awesome to hear! I’ll keep a lookout for when the video comes out. I love IPAs, I’ve heard there’s stuff like wasabi beer or soba noodle beer, matcha beer… which is interesting I’d say but not my top priority! I’d say mix of IPA and Traditional. My girlfriend loves Fruit beers though! I prefer wheats
@ OK, here are a few good options in Osaka, based on my extensive “research”… 😆 1. Craft Beer Base Mother Tree. This place has a friendly vibe and great selection of beers. It’s also walking distance from Osaka-Umeda station. 2. Tetard Vallee. A neighborhood micro-brew bistro. Not the best selection or anything, but the beers are crazy cheap, and you can literally see the brewers work while you drink. Also the food is good, and it’s near Osaka castle, assuming you’re planning to go there. 3. West Coast Brewing. Two locations, Umeda-1 and Dark Lab. The first is basic, just a counter with taps in the basement of this unassuming mixed-use building, and the latter is a proper ‘bar’ with a kitchen and an atmosphere to suit the name. WCB’s beer is actually brewed in Shizuoka, but these guys make really excellent IPAs and other ‘modern’ beer styles. (You pay for the quality though.) 4. Minoh Beer. The original Osaka brewery, family run. Not the most modern setup, but lots of love goes into their product. Their bar in the city is “Beer Belly Tenma”. (I video blogged their other “Warehouse” location, but it’s a little out of the way North of the City.) Tokyo is out of my range of expertise, but there are apparently TON of good places so you shouldn’t have a problem. As for Whisky… I know it’s a long shot, but look up the Yamazaki and Hakushu distilleries. Yamazaki is not far from Osaka, but you have to reserve visits ahead of time, and they’re probably full already. (I’ve blogged that one as well. The other, Hakushu, not yet. Day trip from Tokyo could be possible for that..?)
@@Jordan-inJapan thank you Jordan!!! I’m going to check these out. I plan on posting my journey on Instagram… if you have an instagram I’d love to tag your recommendations. If not, I’ll share back on one of your videos how my experience was
@@LouEaze hey! My instagram is insideoutsider_in_japan , although I haven’t been using it as much as I probably should. Anyway, have a great time, in Japan, and feel free to drop me a DM on instagram when you’re here. 🍻

I also need to upgrade my audio! It's not bad, but when the wind blows it is terrible! I rather like the idea of the friendly dog as your logo.

@@kylepimentel5316 Thanks for the comment! I’ll get back to work on that one when my new ‘camera’ arrives, in a week or so.
