So which is the best? Current machines have cycles that are much too long. My Magic Chef is about 20 years old. I bought it at a garage sale for about $20. Works very well and I can run just half cycles and still get good results with Up and Up detergent. Considering how little there is to a dishwasher, I'm surprised at the prices they get away with charging for the things.
I just want to know about reliability and repair. New ones with lots of bells and whistles are costly to fix.
People commenting under this video do no understand what the video is about. It is just to show the scientific testing procedure. It is not to show you the dishwasher list.
The mix they're using to soil the plates is tougher than anything you'll encounter in the kitchen. If they used realistic soil they would never be able to judge which dishwasher performed better if all plates came out clean.
One thing which I'm interested in however is whether they're using pots and pans to test every dishwasher as well or not. Pots can be deep and more heavily soiled. Plates are relatively an easy task.
Okay which dishwasher does appropriate clean I'm definitely in the market
Modern dishwashers suck. Plain and simple. They do nothing more than sterilization of already clean dishes. I could load a 1980 Kenmore with just about anything you can imagine and the dishes would come out spotless. Today, I have to scrub them clean before I put them in. It’s just not worth it.
Why not have real dirty dishes? Two plates that had egg yolks, jam and butter smears, two that had pasta and sauce, two that had b-day cake and ice cream....etc.
Mugs with coffee and cream, bowls that had tuna salad or tossed salad with Russian dressing. Real food that real people eat.
And a bowl of scraped out baby food. One of cat food remains?
Scrap off, don't rinse and voila. I'm more interested in that than weird baked goop of cocoa and ketchup.....
What the heck?
This is bullshit. You did every test without saying which one performed well. Just wasted my time.
So whats the best dishwasher

So just sell one ~USEFUL~ SYNOPSIS, -WITH RATINGS ON CURRENT BRANDS OF DISHWASHERS ?
So how can you people test dishwashers and dishwasher detergents WITHOUT following proper protocol when it comes to adding both main wash detergent & PRE WASH. You people admitted it right from the horses mouth that you don’t even bother filling the pre rinse department when you are testing detergents with heavily soiled loads, especially after the machines manufacturer’s directions tells you to add pre wash detergent according to the load soil. How can you run a legitimate test when your leaving such an important step out? Explain it right now. I’d love to hear the excuses because you’ve been scamming consumers for years. If they can’t even do this one right what else are they lying and misleading people about? And these people at consumer reports are supposed to be “experts”?? Experts my ass
What ‘s the point of showing this? Wasting my time.
Put dishes in then take them out. May as well just wash them.
So I assume you hand wash your clothes as well?
