Traditionally in the UK there are 12 days of Christmas, so you keep decorations up till 12th night on the night of the 5th-6th of January. You keep your decorations up as long as you want!
I grew up in a Catholic family here in the US and many of my religious family members made a big deal of the 12 days. When I was in a parochial school, it also meant I got extra time off school when my public school peers had to go back, so I thought that was fun. 😉 "The 12 days of Christmas is the period in Christian theology that marks the span between the birth of Christ and the coming of the Magi, the three wise men. It begins on December 25 (Christmas) and runs through January 6 (the Epiphany, sometimes also called Three Kings’ Day)."
We do this in Norway too. I think that’s the old way? And nowadays people decorate at the beginning of December, so they get sick of it way before the celebration is traditionally over.

Per tradition, Christmas decorations should be left up until 6 January. It’s actually bad luck to take them down before New Year. Leave them up. Especially if they make you happy.

Lol, last year I kept my tree up till end of January. Yes I know it's a bit overkill, but I just love it so much. The internet is a scary place sometimes and you taking it down just out of peer pressure from twitch chat, is nothing short of disgusting
I typically keep my tree up until Candlemas, which is February 2, the traditional end to the Christmas season. Most people I know keep theirs up until at least Epiphany (Jan 6)
In my country, the traditional date to take down christmas decorations and the tree is february 2nd. In the city people take them down between new year's day and January 6th tho, as there are special collection spots for trees set up by the city during that time so that the garbage disposal can take care of them. If you have a fake tree or a fireplace where you can burn the tree, you leave it up until february.
You can have youre Christmas tree as long as you like, your choise. But Christmas is over when the 3 kings have arived on the 6th of January. So thats when most people put it away, or afther nye
December 1st to January 1st. That's how long I leave my tree up. Who cares about what other people think! You love Christmas, and it looks really good in your videos, leave it there for you, not for others.
Keep your Christmas tree up for as long as you like! Don't let others bully you into taking your tree down! If they aren't paying your bills it's none of thier business. I was sick last year and kept my tree up until March because I didn't have the strength to take it down until after I got better after my heart surgery. That tree brought me joy every day seeing it. I could of cared less what other people thought. It's only been 5 days since Christmas. People need to chill. Some people are just miserable and want others to suffer with them. You are allowed to keep your tree up as long as you want!

Where I live (Serbia), people keep up the decorations all the way until Jan 14th and maybe even after that. It's because orthodox christmas is on Jan 7th (that church uses a different calendar) and the orthodox new years is kn Jan 14th
0:36 One of the many things we can agree on! I’ve had it in my game for a while now and everyone gets one of the cards for their birthday or Winterfest (whichever comes first) ESPECIALLY now that I got Snowy Escape and one of my Sim’s sons got attacked by bugs on a hike. 🤦♀️
in my country we put the Christmas stuff on Dec 8th and take everything down on Jan 6th or 7th, so yeah each culture has it's rules idk
I wouldn't take my tree down to please others. I leave everything up and my lights stay on until Epiphany anyways. If they don't like it...bah humbug on them! lol
Hi in a lot of Hispanic countries, we also celebrate January 6 (Epiphany) and in Puerto Rico we keep on celebrating after that! There is another tradition called las octavitas. Since The Sims 4 added coquito and I think other Hispanic foods recently, keeping the tree up for longer can just be tribute to that lol
Oh my gosh!!! This is game changing!! I'm so excited to download this mod!! This is going to take my storyline plays to such a nice level!
In Poland Christmas Tree is standing until 2nd of February ;) We have Presentation of the Lord that day ;)
not the christmas tree!!! also, modders are literally the columns to the Sims.... YAY MODDERS!
You shud do the sims 4 but evrything you put down is doblle.
So if you wanna place down a frige you have to place it twice in the house. And it has to be the same size and the same swach. You can place it in difrent rooms.
Btw happy holidays 🎄🎄🎄❤️❤️❤️
In most of Europe is pretty common to leave the Christmas decorations up until mid January
we leave our tree up until epiphany! i would totally have it up year-round bc i love the lights tho lol
Lol, last year I kept my tree up till end of January. Yes I know it's a bit overkill, but I just love it so much. The internet is a scary place sometimes and you taking it down just out of peer pressure from twitch chat, is nothing short of disgusting
In some countries a traditional Christmas tree take-down day is like 6th-7th of January - on Epiphany, also known as Theophany holiday
Move over Geoffrey Landgraab, there's a new Jeff in town
I would love a video of kids really exploring the whole voidcritter thing. Maybe a small hotdog?
I typically keep my tree up until Candlemas, which is February 2, the traditional end to the Christmas season. Most people I know keep theirs up until at least Epiphany (Jan 6)
In my country, the traditional date to take down christmas decorations and the tree is february 2nd. In the city people take them down between new year's day and January 6th tho, as there are special collection spots for trees set up by the city during that time so that the garbage disposal can take care of them. If you have a fake tree or a fireplace where you can burn the tree, you leave it up until february.
Christmas isn't technically even over yet LMAO (It hasn't started yet if you're an Orthodox Christian...)
In Germany we usually leave our Christmastree up until the 6th of January
Just decorate it with v day stuff and get a giggle out of it
Honestly, I have almost ALL of Ravasheen's CC. They are just, *Chefs kiss* an amazing creator
Most european countries keep their christmas trees until january-february, so keep it as long as you wish!
Oh no I would keep the tree up until New Years 👀 simply because I want to enjoy it as long as I can.
WHAT NO DON'T TAKE IT DOWN
Keep your Christmas tree up for as long as you like!
This seems like a very cool mod it seems very helpful.
I’m so sad to see the Christmas tree to go it’s so pretty.
Ikr also how come I see u everywhere!
@@litsprite807 literally same
@@litsprite807 don’t know maybe I’m more than one person. 🌚
I LOVE THIS CREATOR, I just found that she has a lot of object that keeps all consumables fresh and any flower arrangements fresh, finally, my FLORIST DREAMS COME TRUE.
i can’t believe jeff bezos keeps getting away with this
jokes aside this is so sick. will definitely get it!!
@lolu that’s such a fun store!! :D
Ravasheen really makes magic happen! I can't play without their cc.
It irks me that every plant from Vampires has a separate option in the "Order..." pie menu. Why can't they just be grouped with the other seeds?
Because seeds didn't use to be order-able or even buyable outside of planters until only a couple years ago and the sims team is so lazy they almost never go back to make things compatible with packs that way.
Dont worry, my family dont even put our christmas tree down so its always there for years. Christmas is everyday for us.
Can you get rich quick with canning with the cottage living pack? I feel like that would be cool!
I have been a Patron of hers for over a year and I am so happy to see others notice how epic she is.
I realize it's good for interaction, but the horrified face in thumbnails and 'we need to talk about' titles literally causes me so much anxiety
I quite literally downloaded this and a good dozen of ravashden’s mods after watching this video, thanks for the mod therapy :)
Please do a 10 minute build challenge with EA’s restrictions I’d be so interesting
I bought my sister the sims game since she is into interior decorating, she showed me this channel and now I haven’t stopped watching because you are the only girl that I find has wholesome gameplay, keep up the good work!
please don’t let this be a mod again. please let ea do something good for once 🙏
edit : NOOO
in Italy we take down decorations on January 6th (the Epiphany day), but I actually do keep them even more so
Again, I will say *that modders hold entire Sims 4 on their backs*… but how they get THAT COOL IDEAS?!
Girl! You gotta have the Christmas tree up for new years! Who are these people?? 😭
I think it's really weird to take it down before at least mid-January, or even February... it's basically unheard of where I live to take any decorations down until well after new years. And after reading these comments I guess the rest of the world is a lot more fun and chill than the US when it comes to Christmas decorations. 😂 Who cares when anyone takes down their tree? What a bunch of weirdos 🤷♀️✌️
Here in Sweden all the Christmas decorations, including the tree stays up until twenty days after Christmas Eve. Then we hold parties were we let our kids dance the tree and the decorations out.
Take the Christmas tree down? Yah, if last year is any indication, I will get around to it in mid July.
I always keep my christmas tree until february lol
As you should 🙌🙌
It is so funny that so many comments are about the Christmas tree. 🎄 I didn’t have one this year but we usually keep it up until the new year too. 🥰 Nice video like always, love the mod !!
In central europe, we usually have christmas tree up to 2 weeks before christmas and most leave it till the end of january. For us christmas tree is just part of winter decorations so you can have it through the whole winter 🙂
My very first Lilsimsie video and it's a hot take on Christmas tree setup? Love it! I'd totally leave my tree up all year round if people wouldn't think it's too weird. Fantastic video as well, Kayla! This mod looks top notch, it would have made my vampire Sim so much more manageable.
WE COULD LEAVE THE CHRISTMAS LIGHTS UP TILL JANUARY
Btw, Ravasheen is AMAZING! Please look into more of their mods if you haven't already.
I have nearly all of their mods. No joke. The best part of their mods is the fact that they're not huge either and won't take up too much space. Some mod creators will make tiny, tiny mods that are like 46MB and for what?
You take down that tree when ever you want Kayla, in my family we keep out tree and decorations up until the first of January. I think its a beautiful tree and brings a little bit of cheer.
0:11 i think it’s different in every country! In poland according to the tradition we put it up on the 24th of December and take it down on the 6th of January if I’m right
In Brazil, Christmas decorations start being shown (and sold) around September. You can even find panettones and such items at the supermarket.
my christmas tree will stay up as long as possible , it makes me too happy
Honestly I love that you're not like other yt simmers because you actually show the realistic side of playing sims and fun stuff
Oh Kayla girl, feel free to leave the tree up all year & change the decorations with the seasons. Or leave the Christmas tree up as long as you are in the spirit! It's your space and it should make your heart sing.
