Lace is a good rival character for Hornet. Hornet fights with a Thread and Needle and Lace fights with a crotche needle. Then Hornet is very direct and to the point where as Lace is cocky and playful with her first instinct being to tease and sass Hornet.
This is what I'm most excited about with Silksong: we'll actually get to play as a character with a real personality who can get angry or feel emotion in response to her surroundings and other characters. I really hope we get to see Hornet fight and work with a real passion unlike with our silent protagonist of the ghost in HK.
This is what I know her for, I was genuinely shocked when I came back a few months later and found what she does now. It’s really good, But not a fan of Dsmp, her animations do condense the overarching stories into something watchable however and that I’m thankful for, what they’re going for is really cool but the Minecraft limitations bog it down a bit for me.

I just can’t stop watching this. The way hornets voice is lower than lace’s to match the fact lace is taking this less less seriously than hornet, the way the colors pop with comic like text bubbles to express emotion, they way that also matches the playful sound design reflect the title and actions of this being a playful war, it all comes together to make an amazing and enjoyable animation that I just keep watching. Good job!
This gives both characters so much personality I love it. Lace's cocky, flippant attitude playing off of Hornet's increasing frustration is great. I hope we get to see something similar in their dynamic in Silksong.
