You can't hide from it forever. Eventually you gotta work on your backhand. In this video I help simplify it a little bit. To get you going in the right direction. HAVE FUN😁
You explain good. I think you are a good coach for others on the court. And the thinks you tell to the people which is correct is explained in a coherent way. You explained nicely the difference swinging of the backhand and chose between the 3 paths but didnt mention that you can use different grips. Or if you dont like changing grips, there could be the explanation for it also. I dont agree to some certain points in the video. I think you will learn a lot from others and be able to assimilate it in your system.
Thank you for the compliment. I actually did cover grips In a previous video which I mentioned at the start of this one 😁 saying that the grip choice comes before everything else
Will, general question here I'd love for you to tackle if possible. I'd love some clarity on how to handle slower balls, not short balls but when you play someone who has decent shots but slower pace. I play 4.5 singles and 5.0 doubles and when I play the youngs fresh out of college who just bang the ball I do so much better than guys who hit with less pace. I'm certain some of this is just lazy footwork, but the general philosophy of footwork, preparation, and maybe even playing the pace of the ball vs trying to crush softer hit balls would be appreciated.
On the wide ball you will want to go open stance and focus on rotating your upper body independently through the ball, similar to how a tank functions. On higher ball just focus on extension of the non dominant hand more
Will, on contact which edge is leading? Top edge (closed face) or bottom edge (open face)? If i lead wjth bottom edge i get cleaner contact and better net clearance.
i found your instructions more relevant compared to other "generic" videos that i've watched. Great job!
Nicely explained Coach ..👏
Thank you!!
You're welcome! Hope it helped

Nice video!!
Appreciate it 😁 hope it helps
on wide ball and high ball what do you recommend for the 2-handed backhand. It feels weak
On the wide ball you will want to go open stance and focus on rotating your upper body independently through the ball, similar to how a tank functions. On higher ball just focus on extension of the non dominant hand more
