This guy literally tried to make the statement "Knowledge is more powerful than belief" an "evil' or "satanic" statement when it's just basic logic. Knowledge is more powerful than belief.
Would you rather just believe that you have enough gas in your car or KNOW that your car is adequately filled up? Would you rather just believe that you can pay all your bills or KNOW that your bills will definitely be paid? Would you rather believe that someone loves you or KNOW that, that love is true?

@@mugenyami9776 The Bible also says faith without works is dead. So, if you are just sitting there "believing" but not putting in the work to actually SEE things manifest into reality, you may need to be the one to go re-read your Bible.
Also, even if the Bible said it was better to believe than to see, I would still disagree with it because it goes against all logic and common sense. Which again.. most Christians lack. Thank you for being a shining example.

A family member of mine was a 5%er. I used to go to the rallies but I’d always find another place to go sit and do my own thing because I thought it was insane. They all had names like Supreme, Blackman, Wisdom, Father God… one was named Reality and now suffers from schizophrenia. They called the women they were with Earths but treated them all horribly. Beating them, cheating, making illegitimate children left and right. The worst was that most of them were on drugs and sold drugs, alcoholic lol. It was very wild.

I don't get too excited. I knew the second I saw this trailer it was blasphemy. I've done my research on the enemy and I know way too much about the enemy to be fooled by him. Churches don't talk enough about tactics of the devil, this is a huge problem.
Reminds me of Simon the Sorcerer in Acts 8. Amazed people with magic, came to believe in Christ, saw real signs and miracles performed through the apostles, saw the apostles lay hands on people in order for people to receive the Holy Spirit, offered money to the apostles in order to do the same, and was rebuked by Peter for it.
Simon always repent after seeing the REAL works .. as this movie shows towards the end.

I think this movie offered a real perspective of MOST non-believers TODAY. It is beyond important for Christians to be familiar with the thought process of atheism and agnostic. The more we understand the more of an opportunity we can work to transition their minds, bodies, and souls to be a temple for Yah to dwell and operate for our highest existence

I've been saying for years Beyonce and Jay-Z are more about emulating Satan's desire to become God and not about glorifying God. How do you know Satan had a desire to become God? Nothing that Christians say about Satan can be proven in scripture, yet ya'll hang on to it. The word Satan is rarely used in the Tanakh, neither does the Devil. They both appear over 30 to 35 times in the Greek Testament. If Satan was this every evil enemy of God why isn't he mentioned that much in the Hebrew bible?

Wow!! I never heard about the 5% and I honestly didn't even realize Jay Z's involvement. I just saw the trailer and got an immediate check in my spirit. It just seemed like a mockery of Christianity. After your commentary I am 100% sure this movie is a mockery of Christianity. My prayer is that we as believers can get in the secret place and in the word of God. I pray for us to have stronger discernment and that we don't allow things like race to cloud our spiritual judgment. I believe we are in a time when things are not going to always be blatantly demonic and will even deceive the elect. This is a perfect example of why we need to stay close to God and in His word.
If you are the elect, you won't be deceived and they won't be able to. Matthew 24:24 states, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. "If" it were possible is the key in the scripture. They may try to deceive but won't succeed. Similarly to what you have said, you have to know and follow the scriptures, stay in a relationship, pray, and let the Comforter lead and guide you which makes your discernment stronger.

@@robmason4547the irony I think that is what the movie was going for. He started out being a fake prophet for money and some where he actually started doing good. Gave all the money he earned to free 20 slaves. He then professed he never believed in god because he doesn’t know who he is. Can’t believe in something you don’t know, so instead of god showing himself, he granted him the ability to walk on water at a time where drowning would have been best.

I grew up in SC, and some of my friends at that time got involved with the 5%’s. They would walk around literally saying “What’s up, god?” to each other and calling all white men the devil. When I asked one of my friends why he got involved with that (he had been a believer before), he said that it made him feel special. Even powerful.
It’s interesting to me (now) because I see big names preachers…Steven Furtick (who is also from SC), T.D. Jakes, etc., who have preached that we are all little “g” gods. Makes me believe that this is all of the same demonic spirit.

What’s interesting is that Mormonism is the direct inverse of the 5% religion. The principles are exactly the same. The LDS religion is based off ‘The Book of Mormon’ and they believe whites are gods, black/brown skin is akin to level of sin… and they think the ultimate goal in life is to be ‘educated’…. They say that life is works based and that the more ‘knowledge’ you gain the further up the hierarchy you go in ‘god’ status…… they also claim to be on the same ‘level’ as Jesus being that they believe Jesus is a little g, god and NOT a part of the Trinity of the Creator, God. This is why they think they have the same ‘opportunity’ to become a god… there’s some other stuff in there, but these are the principles that I think overlap directly.
I know all this because I moved to UT.
Very interesting that Latter Day Saints use ‘The Book of Mormon’ and this movie is titled ‘The Book of Clarance’. They also say they’re the ‘church of Jesus Christ’ meaning they are the ones with the ‘authority’ and they claim they have the “true knowledge”…. Also that they believe Jesus was more ‘man’ than ‘god’ which is why they’re able to ‘heal’ people like Jesus does…. They ‘perform healings’ because they say they ‘have the “priesthood” like Jesus’…. So again, some major overlapping.
I’ve tried to tell Mormons that Satan went to Eve and deceived her, telling her that if she were to eat of the fruit she’d ‘gain knowledge’… of good and evil. So if Satan’s goal is to tempt with ‘knowledge’ then that pursuit is something akin to an alliance with Satan.
But they look at me like I have two heads when I quote the Bible.

I honestly appreciate you doing this review. One thing I realized about our black people is their desperation to be unique. I agree! I didn't think it was Biblical or Christian. After watching it. I wish I hadn't seen it at all. I felt tricked and was uncomfortable to the point whereas, I had to rebuke the devil and his schemes to deceive. Thank God for Jesus,the Holy Ghost and the Sword of the Spirit.

I thought Nefarious was a very good thought-provoking phycological thriller, I've watched it 3 times already. I thought the book of Clarence was a comedy and entertainment and didn't take it seriously, however we can correlate with the many false prophets that we have in todays society and the hypocrisy and chaos they bring to society, especially in churches and religion today.

We should take what the author is trying to communicate as the lens by which we judge the film (exegesis) vs interpreting our own ideas into the film (eisegesis).
