These are nice steels. Explore the other tunings to really appreciate lap steel playing. I use C6 and D plus the E6 tunings. I started on lapsteel and eventually moved to pedal steel. Love the tones and sustain thats like no other.

Same with me, I play a Carter 12 string Universal tuning which covers E9 and C6(B6), 7+5 and I was going to say the same thing! I started out on an old beat up 8 string lap, and never looked back. C6 is wickedly good fun, put on some western swing and go to town!
