Guys, I want to let you know I really really appreciate the quality of your tutorials. There's so much out there but yours rank right at the top. Very clear, excellent additional graphics on bar/kite position, close ups and aerial shots etc. Your videos have really helped me progress, many thanks!
just started kitesurfing. your videos are going to be my self teach steps. they seem to have all the progressive steps I need. thank you for making these videos.
Salut, i am from France, sorry about my English... i am kiting about 1 year, along 3 mouth (maybe 10 times) i am trying to jump. Ido ! but i am often landing on my back, bottom. If i jump on the right side, my body turn left, and when i jump on the left, my body turn right. Maybe i have to learn the pop before .. I have a examle if you ned it ! Thx for your videos, gr8 :-)
Hi, you don't have to raise the kite to pop. You leave the kite at 1030 or 130. But if you use pop AND raise the kite for a normal kite jump, then you can take off better and should go higher.
Hi Bear, there is a new pop tutorial: ruclips.net/video/yd-Ew1mKFlE/видео.html Also, pop is covered in the twintip tricks movie: ruclips.net/video/oOGE60jkiEo/видео.html
+PWSkate Good question. It depends on how powered you are at the time. As you build up to the pop, you want the bar in enough for good power, but not so much you are overpowered (or your board will loose contact with the water). As you take off, pulling in the bar can certainly help gain a little more height. I'll be making a full length version of this, and include a section on what to do with the bar.

Thanks, I have a few more left to make, but I'm trying to make something to help with each step of learning.

Try not to tuck in while in the air. If you drop your legs down and back, and your waist/harness forward, it can slow and stop rotation. Good luck.
+Kitesurf Co merci beaucoup
Don't you have to steer the kite to 12 o'clock?

Do you need to pull down on the bar while doing this?
