It’s always a good idea to show build projects. Techniques vary and its interesting to see others even if it turns out to be the way you do it yourself. Also it would be nice to see an update on the new workshop when you have time. Thanks for you time , its much appreciated .

Dennis, this is such a thoughtful and inspiring build! I love what you've done, but would also love more detail. I'm looking for the MDF you mentioned, here in the US. I love the clean black look and how it polishes. Thanks for sharing your passion and your learning with us!
Hey Dennis! Would be interested in a build video with all the considerations! And I don’t even have a drill press but your videos are always so clean! Just like your (wood)work! And because I don’t understand the argument for mounting the fence on the side. The distance from the laser to the fence is always the same right, so if your fence is straight, the laser will follow a straight line, no matter if it’s not perfectly 90 with the side of your base. Just like with a router table, the only setting you need is the distance from the bit to the fence, the line of the fence don’t matter. That’s what I thought anyway, so maybe I’m missing something.

Of course! this is a great idea!
I like the alternative logic that you add to your commentary as you go, ie. single side reference to keep fence square. I have a similar 2” adjustable dust port on the right side, I added Tee and can put a second collector on the left or pull it off and plug the fitting hole. I telescoped a piece of corrugated tubing inside the second port and by putting a few O rings on the corrugated tube it fits tight and pulls out several inches for adjustments. Haven’t seen your videos in a while, but your content is top shelf. Thanks.

I'm sure watching your how-you-built-it video will be worth while before I make a similar table to fit a considerably different machine with different materials. You always provide a well thought out approach to your projects and explain the rational behind your choices. Though I work with adjustable hole cutters rather than a CNC or laser, I've already adopted your dual finger holes for my own round insert design. Thank you.

Hello Dennis. I always love watching your videos and am so impressed at your precision and artistry. I particularly like the black MDF material you use across your shop. It adds such a distinctive look. I have tried to find a source for that material here in Virginia, USA but my usual lumber yard cannot locate it. Keep up the good work Dennis. I stop by your channel every few weeks to see what you’ve been up to and am never disappointed. One thing that has caught my eye is that in your new shop you seem to have moved away from the removable section at the front of the drill press bench and the dog holes in the surface of the drill press and mitre station benches are no longer present. It would be interesting to hear your rationale for these design changes at some point. Cheers.
Hi Martin, I will address this in the How to build video. But, I never used the sliding table so the capacity is big enough. Further, If I need the maximum capacity, I can turn away the platform and use my tabletop as a platform. Maybe I will make some slots for this purpose, but again, I never use the capacity. About the dog holes. I do have more space now with much more benches. So, it does not have to be as multifunction as before. However, It maybe possible I made some in the future.

Great table and build. You can buy a product called Loc-Line vacuum kit which will give you a hose that you can maneuver. Your solution is very clever as well.

Dennis, Je boortafel ziet er fantastisch mooi uit, maar hij heeft hetzelfde nadeel als (bijna) alle tafels: De beperkte uitlading. Ik ben van een gewone tafel overgestapt naar een Wabeco tafel. Die zijn verkrijgbaar met drie verschillende kolomlengtes en drie verschillende horizontale assen, voor een instelbare uitlading. Ga maar eens bij Baptist kijken. Elke boormachine met 43 mm hals past erin, en kan dat ook nog in alle standen gedraaid worden. Er is een klein tafeltje voor aan de kolom beschikbaar, en een grote voor op de voetplaat, zelfs me spindels voor de X- en Y-assen.
Ik had voor afzuiging iets bedacht dat op jouw systeem lijkt, maar jouw systeem is beter. Dat ga ik ombouwen.
