AC/DC played 3 straight nights at River Plate in Dec 2009 to a total of 220,000+ ppl so that’s 73,000+ a night!!!!! Brian Johnson the lead singer was 63, Angus Young the lead guitarist was 55 and the rest of the boys were in their 50’s!!! Legendary is all I can say. These Argentina fans are the best on the planet and they appreciate good hard driving rock and roll. Just look at all the different ages in the crowd. It transcends generations. Unbelievable!! Angus Young was 54 years old at the time of this concert. He was born in 1955. Its hard to believe that he was old enough to be a father to probably 80 percent of the people in that stadium. Angus is one of the most entertaining musicians around and its no surprise that his name is chanted in every stadium and venue AC/DC plays in. Angus is a fan favorite all over the world.

I've seen them live six times all the way back to the early 80's and every show is high energy, back in 86 Angus was on Brian's shoulders doing a solo out in the audience, Brian was toting him around in the crowd playing and then they finally came on stage and Angus ran all over the place playing, after the song ended about fifteen minutes later you could see the tour crew giving him oxygen because he was so wore out and he just came right back out and started playing again like it was nothing. The key thing to acknowledge is this. Angus Young was born in 1955...the very same year they are singing about, "Back in 1955...man didn't know about the Rock 'n Roll Show...and all that Jive."...this is the relationship Angus continues to share, his birth with the birth of Rock an Roll. He is 7 years older than me but we both crank that rock and roll.

Bon Scott was certainly not the band’s original leader. AC/DC had been around (with a singer) for a while before Bon joined the band.
They actually met the extremely charming and talented songwriter that was Bon, when he was briefly employed as a chauffeur by their record company.
After Malcolm passed away Angus has now become the leader of something that has unfortunately become more “brand than band.” Before that it was strictly the two Young brothers ruling with an iron fist. Cross either (or become unwell) at your peril, as not only are you out of the band, you will possibly be the last to know.

He's a Guitar Rock God and one can debate where he stands on the list. No one though, is going to out "Showman" him ( and the band). That's what sets him (and the band) apart. The crowd knows AC/DC is not mailing it in. Now, it's Christmas 2023, and they lost his brother. The drummer has Issues getting into certain countries and they are older and a little slower. Still, for this kind of music, it's still hard to beat them for up and comers in Rock 30, 40 or 50 years younger. The crowd has to feel that nothing was left on the table.
