Most practical review on the flow after watching many reviews including some non objective bashing of the gimbal. I wouldn’t have known about the ability to harness Insta360’s AI tracking using the native camera if not for your video. Addresses my strongest use case for a gimbal which is to take a selfie using the main camera effortlessly. Thanks 🎉
You have inspored me to use tracking, gestture and voice control - BUT I am have a lot of difficulty getting these features to work Gestures and voice commands just don't work and tracking with the main camera is very hit and miss. It works fine on the selfie camera and drawing boxes round objects on the main camera. I'm pretty sure I am the one doing things wrong but another video on these subjects would be very welcome.
@@OT4Tech i have the feeling my s23u pushes the flow to the limit. And I haven't managed to do 360 degrees with it yet, because the phone always bumps into the housing of the flow somewhere at some point... and then there is the problem with 4k and a maximum of 30fps.

Before I watch this video, how much of it is only for eyePhone use ? I would hate to see all of these great features, and find out at the end that they don't work with a Note 10. Make a review hot it's works with android devices like u have on video S23 ultra. Interesting what u can do with stock samsung app, and how or which lenses work's in insta360 app. AS i understand, you cannot use any lens in insta360 app ? In iphone u can, android no? Cannot shoot wide and zoom?
Having watched a lot of Flow videos, DJI OM6 videos, other gimbal videos and comparison videos, it seems to me that the flow is not a feature leader at anything (AI tracking the possible exception) and really isn't tailored to "pro-sumers" and full-time creators, but does most things decently well and suits the occasional user who might want to "spice up" a vacation, or family, video or two with some gimbal polish. I think I fall into that latter category and so recently bought a Flow as my first gimbal. I'll receive it in a couple of days. I have a couple of graduations and a cruise coming up and am hoping it will help me make the videos more memorable.
I haven't tried it yet on the S24 Ultra but on the S23 Ultra it worked great. I posted a couple shorts showing it and included it in my S23 Ultra camera accessory round up.
It would be great if you could explain a bit more about how it can work with Zoom or Teams. Especially of you have been sent a link to a meeting as opposed to just starting one casually.

Hey Jonathan. I'm a big fan of your videos. Recently got the Hohem iSteady M6 for my S23 Ultra after watching your accessories video. How does the Flow compare? I have an X3, so I might consider getting the Flow to add to the Insta360 ecosystem. Looking forward to hear from you!
They are both excellent gimbals. The M6 has more mobility but is also bulkier. Tracking wise, they are both neck and neck. Insta360 technically has a better app but it’s very limited when it comes to resolutions and frame rates. For instance, it does not support 4K on Android but the work around is to just use the native app like I showed in the video. I’m thinking about doing a direct comparison between the 2 since they are both crazy good. You really can’t go wrong with either one. If you were using an iPhone I would recommend Flow but ok Android they are very close.

Good to hear there is a work around as far as utilizing full resolution via the native app if I decide to switch to the Flow. I agree the bulky nature is something to deal with, but grateful to know the M6 has an advantage with mobility and I guess the higher capacity in payload . @@OT4Tech you failed to mention that the m6 ai tracking can be used with any app. Not only that but the insta, tracking sucks, because it will only track and keep the subject in the middle of the frame while the m6 tracking can be adjusted and the subject can be re-framed in any part of the frame you want. Those are huge differences. Unless you just want your subject smack in the middle of the frame at all times 🤷🏽♂️
Hey happy Easter everyone, I got my 360 flow yesterday and I'm using an android device( Xperia 1 VI). I couldn't get the sphere in pano Foto mode to work, it just says 180, 360 but no sphere symbol. Is it because I'm not using an iPhone? Thanks for your content, nice video
@@OT4Tech sorry there's no 360, there's the symbol for sphere but it's just a panoramic mode, than there is 180 and 240 degrees. When I touch the sphere symbol and start it it tells me it's doing panoramic picture, please keep start and only shoots 9 pictures in front. I saw on your video that you have to clip the clamp on the front of the phone and it showed where to place it. I didn't get the instruction. So I'm a little confused 🤔
Hm, try force closing the app by going into the background app switcher. Then go into the play store and see if there is an update for the app. If there is an update go ahead and perform it and reopen. If there isn’t try reopening the app.
@@OT4Tech tried everything you said, it's only a 3x3 mode sadly. I'm curious if it's an android issue but I don't have anyone with an iPhone here to test. Anyway thanks for helping out. Unfortunately, you cannot record in 4k if you use the Insta360 app but since you can use any camera app including the native Samsung app you can record in any resolution you would like including 8K.

Cool gimbal! But really the only thing it has going for it is the portability and light weight compact design. Other than that, seems like the HOHEM M6 has basically the same features with a removable AI module and no limitation on TILT movement. Too bad the M6 didn’t have the magnetic quick attachment
You need to correct one of your statements, it does not instantly connect to the 360 app unless you're using an iPhone. That is the only phone it will instantly connect to. All other phones on the market you must open the app manually! You need to be reviewing this on multiple phones and not just the iphone. There are a few things on it that do not work on any other phone.
I’ve watched many videos on these gimbals they all talk about content creation vlogging etc but never go into any details regarding setting up microphone input? Crap sound equals crap video, personally I have a rode system that I will need to connect to an iPhone and it would be useful if someone included the sound options within there review. After all how good would a review video be without the sound?
Love the Native camera tracking method! Yes I can activate the shutter with my Samsung Galaxy watches, but also with the S-Pen! Noiiice! My 1st Insta360 product was the Sphere (originally called "invisible drone" for Air2S /Mavic Air 2. I would love your take on it, though it requires one of those 2 drones. I know you would come up with creative uses -possibly uses by itself minus the aircraft.
Why do people keep saying smartphone gimbal when it works at the maximum just with iPhone. Other phones are compatible at 50 percent and in some cases less. I wanted to get it to do a review in my channel but after seen all the reviews just with iPhone and ask in forums, it doesn't work 100 percent with s22 ultra or s23 ultra which are flagships, imagine with other phones.
It works just fine on Android including the S23 Ultra. All of the videos were made using iPhones because the Android app was not available early. It was not released until launch day.
The android app was not made available until the gimbal released. It works great though. I’m going to make a RUclips Short showing it working with the S23 Ultra.

You can use the app with the gimbal. I demonstrated the tracking capabilities while using Cinema P3

Switching to ultra wide cam, is the handle visible??
Only in specific extreme angles. Many of the samples in the video were shot on the Ultrawide

You need to correct one of your statements, it does not instantly connect to the 360 app unless you're using an iPhone. That is the only phone it will instantly connect to. All other phones on the market you must open the app manually!
You need to be reviewing this on multiple phones and not just the iphone. There are a few things on it that do not work on any other phone.

I’ve watched many videos on these gimbals they all talk about content creation vlogging etc but never go into any details regarding setting up microphone input? Crap sound equals crap video, personally I have a rode system that I will need to connect to an iPhone and it would be useful if someone included the sound options within there review. After all how good would a review video be without the sound?
I wonder how the quality of a 360 photo on this with a nice phone would rival the X3

Love the Native camera tracking method! Yes I can activate the shutter with my Samsung Galaxy watches, but also with the S-Pen! Noiiice!
My 1st Insta360 product was the Sphere (originally called "invisible drone" for Air2S /Mavic Air 2. I would love your take on it, though it requires one of those 2 drones. I know you would come up with creative uses -possibly uses by itself minus the aircraft.
Why do people keep saying smartphone gimbal when it works at the maximum just with iPhone. Other phones are compatible at 50 percent and in some cases less. I wanted to get it to do a review in my channel but after seen all the reviews just with iPhone and ask in forums, it doesn't work 100 percent with s22 ultra or s23 ultra which are flagships, imagine with other phones.
It works just fine on Android including the S23 Ultra. All of the videos were made using iPhones because the Android app was not available early. It was not released until launch day.

The android app was not made available until the gimbal released. It works great though. I’m going to make a RUclips Short showing it working with the S23 Ultra.
@@OT4Tech This is a poor marketing move on the part of the manufacturer - the device will only be associated with the iPhone,I don't think I need to explain what that means😀
