Hey guys! I hope you enjoy me bumbling my way through flying the Mirage F1, and I hope more of you guys start flying this beautiful little jet, it really is a masterpiece of a module!
The radar in the F1EE is actually surprisingly "grabby", You can leave it in 60 degree 35 mile scan and it will catch you off guard with how quickly it'll pick aircraft up. It's thrust to weight ratio might be poor, But it accelerates and cruises very fast in MIL even with heavy loadouts. Things such a treat to fly in dcs.
I love this video style! Just a DCS pilot, flying a mission and telling the audience about his thought process with a little bit of chatter inbetween...
Will definitely be a patron soon. I'm going on 55 years old and I haven't entered a live server yet. I don't have any comes or any way to communicate with the exception of the DCS. I would gladly pay for someone's time to help me learn the fundamentals. Especially the F-14 and f-18 legacy. The F-14 was my era during 91 to '96 on CVN 76. Reagan. Trust me his patreon isnt worth it. Guy rescheduled our tutorial flights like 3 times for "work" which was completely bullshit excuses that were fabricated
@@snakeoo7ca I'm sorry that you're experience was not good for you. I truly am. I'm 3 months solid in DCS now. Spuds schedule can get a bit hectic, but I've completed the F-14 and just completed and wrapped up the f-18 legacy. Charlie with the AG/ missiles. I just let him know when I'm ready, normally within 5 to 7 days we'll get together and wherever I'm having an issue he spends or have spent up to almost 2 hours at a time with me. I don't need anybody to fly with me to teach me. I made it so he can just look at my screen, especially in the f-18 with all of its logistics and electronic values I had some issues with. My time as an old rotor head was gimbles and spinners. No reason for him to fly with someone to teach them when he can. Just simply look at your screen and take you through all the variables. That has been my experience.
I just got the F1, and am trying to learn the starting procedure for the EE, wow, comparing it to my Viggen that I'm used to... wow. That thing is easy to get going lol
The way I remember the M/A nomenclature is A = Arret, which is basically "Arrest", so "no-go" or "stop". M = Marche, which is "March", so "go", "walk". Etymologically, the french and english words are actually related as described above. As for pret... it's kinda stupider in my head... Pret = Ready, or Available, or as I remember it - "preaty" (sounds like ready).
Glad to see you flying the F1 again. My all time favourite bird! Hope you post more videos with it. As for the radar I think it's really good. I have achieved a lock of a slow bomber from 35 miles away!
I want the F1EE so bad, but I also am waiting for the F-15E Strike Eagle From Razbam, and the F-4 from Heatblur, the Chinook, the Sinai map, the Kiowa... there's a couple hundred bucks just with those. Until I hit the lottery, the F1EE is going to be a distant dream.
Wish they would supply fuel burn tables with these 'hi-fidelity' modules at different altitudes and throttle settings so u can plan a flight more effectively....seems to be lacking for mirages
Hey Spud. Could you maybe do a tutorial video with the F1 about the altitude-difference mode? I feel like it’s only right for an F1 to be flying shit-hot on the deck, pointing its radar up and smacking Tomcats that are flying much higher.
Hey not sure if its modeled in the sim but after dropping tanks you will want to make sure the transfer switch is changed from "external" to "internal". I alters the fuel sequence when having an external tank or not. I'd have to look at my fuel book but that might be why your jet was pitching up on refuel. - a DCS loving F1 mechanic

I'd like to test this module, really nice textures and interesting avionics, but I see theres no trial licence 'fly-before-you-buy' option at ED shop - any reason for that?

FYI, if you do a free 2-week trial, you can get a discout at the end of the trial. Not sure how much it is but its a pretty sweet deal that ED does

How are the baskets of the tanker already deployed? Mine I have to wait all the time for the tanker to deploy them when I am at precontact

What is this ticking sound? It starts early and gets faster on takeoff.
It's the fuel totalizer. Sound was introduced with one of the latest updates. Regarding the forum entries, this will be tweaked.
Can you turn that osund off is frickin annoying?
