That hydraulic pump makes a distinctive noise - I always wondered what it looked like. Putting in the belt pulley with the engine running would take off a finger or 2! I wonder if they started it when the set-bolt wasn't tightened or the pulley gear wasn't fully seated?
Don sure don’t but that would be a great video for me to add at some point. I remember back in my teen years wondering just that. Maybe I’ll set up and do that sometime soon.
@@nashsummers8050 Thanks and look forward for information. Problem I'm having is that I have the OEM cultivator for the ram arms but when the shovels start digging it will keep digging to the point where it will stall the tractor.
Good day Boy that hydraulic pump on them for a loader was not good. Slow & no pressure. If loader didn;t lift & you sped motor up, it made lifting worse, I wonder if you could turn or open up relief valve? But when looking down by pto drive , I said to Farmer Pete u could make it into front wheel drive. Thinking about tractor I saw, it was Allis B rear end & allis b rear end on front, making it 4 wheel drive. If you seen one OK but if not look up Allis H on you tube. Thanks
l bet the releaf valve stuck and wouldnt let the pump shut off and that was the noise you heared and if they parked it because of the pump running all the time that locks the rams in the up position and that with it sitting would cause the rams to stick in up position the valve on the front of pump screw it in or out to release it happens when the oil gets dirty or you leave a implment in up position!! it takes just a speck of dirt to mess the pump up if it happens in field use drain and fill with diesel and cycle pump and refill with new oil anyway thats what we did back in the good oldays!!!!! hope it helps l be watchin!!!!!
Gary thx for the information. When I opened up the lines to the rams not much oil came out. What could cause them to be so tight that I can’t collapse them?
Hello Nash. Nice video. I could use more details around the Ram removal.
John I will have a video on the hydraulic rams coming up soon. Both of mine are getting rebuilt. Thx for watching

Yep this is the first time Ive taken one off. Not much to it really. Very possible it wasn’t tight but I’m guessing it was pushed in when running.
Have exact model myself. Not sure how to adjust the pump. Do you have a video of how to set the different functions of the pump?

Maybe only 2 bolts you haven't removed, think you should probably go ahead and remove them as well..., ha, great job

@@nashsummers8050 maybe after years of setting that way they stuck??
if that pump was stuck pumping and not releasing it could jam the ram pretty tight??
