It's insane how GM will put the V8 in the short bed regular cab in the middle east and Mexico but not the United States. Ford knows what they are doing with the 5.0 and short gearing in the rcsb. They also give you a big tank in a short bed too.
I'm about to buy my first Ford because Chevy wont put a V8 in a regular cab short bed configuration but Ford already does...
And the fact we don’t get the damn z71 short unless u get a 2014 model
I'm glad you made this. A regular cab V8 and 8' bed is what I need. I'm glad to see prices start to come down, but it still isn't where it needs to be. This is going to be hard to sell for most people. It seems Ford is killing it with their regular cab offering. As a non Ford guy, how can I not cross shop that one? It seems the better deal. Cheers!
I absolutely agree! I wish the Chevy was a lot cheaper or easier to justify compared to a 5.0 reg cab F-150, which is basically a race truck haha.
Like the 5.3 is flex fuel. Also would be nice if the regular bed came with the V8 more eay of a everyday driver.
Awesome utility truck. I can deal with simple but I wish the work model had the option of LED headlights. Its would be really hard to go backward 10 years in headlight technology. The GMC work model has them as a standard
That’s a really good point! It’s almost inexcusable to not have LEDs on modern vehicles. 🤦♂️
My dream truck! Its a SHAME that no dealer near me will let me custom order one!!! SMH..
I have the money! But they all tell me they cant custom order me a black v8 regular cab with chrome bumpers!
Thats the ONLY way they will have my business, if im spending that much money on a new truck then i WILL order it EXACTLY how i want it.
I’m sorry to hear that, but I get it!!
😪😪
Nice! Let's get to work. Unlike YT's notification system that never told me you uploaded today. Yes, my bell icon is fully on. Regarding the truck, guessing it would be about $500 cheaper with a white paint-job.
Oh weird, well I appreciate you always choosing to watch! I hope to always post a few times a week, at least while I do this part time. Thankfully I have over a month’s worth of footage currently in my membership program, which will all eventually be made public. I just can’t post it all at once to keep a reserve, lol.

Understandable. If my camera had more memory, I'd do the same for the content I create for both of my channels. Thankfully this vid. did pop up on my recommendations front page.
ty for sharing, kool review. Very neat to see one outside U-hual rental and in black ... honestly really wish Chevy would do the tundra drop down window out back in these
My pleasure, thanks for watching! Lol, good point, they often are seen as U-haul trucks. I wish every truck offered the roll down window. Even most sliding horizontal windows are pathetically small these days. 🤦♂️
I see more of these than the 6and half foot beds . They need to put the v8 in both instead of just the long bed. Maybe even offer the 3.0 diesel too.they should also make a trail boss regular cab .
Great suggestion! I personally rarely see the long beds. I also wish GM would put the 6.2 into the regular cabs. I’m not the biggest Ford fan, but while their trucks are running, they run circles around the current GMs. 🤦♂️ ☹️
😭😭😭😭😭😭😪😪😪😪😪😪😡😡😡😡😡😡🤬🤬🤬🤬
We Always had an 8’ bed for our trucks around our farm.
When I bought our (my) 23 Tacoma TRD Off Road, double cab, it had to be the 6’ bed.
I remember when the Ranger had the Tacoma’s had 7’ beds. We’d take the beds off and change the trucks into flat beds. But those days are long gone.
A 7’ bed sounds like a useful length. My first truck was a 2013 Tacoma regular cab 2.7 i4/5 speed I ordered new. Being the regular cab it was only offered as the same 6’ bed as yours. I miss that truck, it was obviously a very light duty truck but the proportions were great and it could get up to 28mpg. Unfortunately I didn’t order it as a 4wd, hence the mpg, and at that time the 2wd suspension was still lowered than the 4x4, which I never loved. But at the same time it felt silly to lift a 2wd, so I never modded it. 🤷♂️😂
@@AutomotiveAnonymous208 The 7’ bed Toyota’s were before your time.
The 7’ beds were from the 80s. Yes I’m that old 🤣
That’s for sure, lol. About them being before my time, but I’m not calling you old. 😉 I’ve seen a number of them, assuming it’s the ones with those tie downs on the exterior of the bed, or the Back to the Future pickup. That’s what I’m thinking of anyways. 🤪
@@AutomotiveAnonymous208 I remember those tie downs as well.
I was born in 65 and learned how to drive on a 1956 Ford Tractor.
Vehicles with a manual transmission are less likely to be stolen because a Lot of people don’t know how to drive them.
3 on the tree and 4 on the floor.
Everyone in my generation knows exactly what I mean by that
I FUCKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKING HATE THE FORMER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😪😪😪😪😪😪😪😪😪😪😪😪😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮
A real truck! Yes for truck tasks! Nice
It’s about time, lol.
Middle East gets a regular cab ZR2... and U.S. gets a 4 cylinder WT
Very interesting!
I haven't seen a unicorn in a long time. I almost forgot they are real.
I know, right?! I can’t believe how much modern trucks have deviated from their original purpose. 🤪
I need a z71 short
Good review. A basic functional work truck.
Thanks! It’s hard to believe that these days a truck like this is somewhat difficult to find, lol. 😂
That's what I look for a dealership that gives you a discount
Absolutely! I don’t know that this is always 100% accurate but you can also Google the invoice for a specific model and trim level and get an idea of what the dealer pays for it. And then see if they’ll take a couple hundred over invoice if they want your simple/straight forward business (if you know what you want).
$46k???
Haha, yeah even a work truck is very expensive these days. 😵
50 percent off.
Hoe are work truck rare? Because nobody works anymore! Just go to the store in the middle of the day.... it's packed.
IMAGINE USA OFFERING ALL TRIMS IN SINGLE CABS INCLUDING LONG BED AND ALL ENGINES I WISH THAT NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😪😪😪😪😪😪😪😪😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬
That would be sweet!!!
Trucks are Manufacturers cash cow now and unfortunately single don't make them alot of money 😫
