- In this video I share my perspective about riding motorcycles and the life lessons that I have managed to unearth for myself while riding my motorcycle. As a migrant who moved countries several years ago, you are always faced with questions and dilemmas and my motorcycle has come to my rescue lending much needed reflection on these existential dilemmas.
The reason for me to share these stories is to express my most genuine experiences while riding motorcycles and to convey how good motorcycles can be as a companion - lending you reflection and perspective as you silently keep meandering through the roads shrouded in the anonymity of your helmet.
Thanks for visiting
The half nomad
I've been riding since 1970. My father had a fatal accident on a bike in 1971. I kept riding all of these years because nothing in my life has been as exciting and fulfilling as a motorcycle. I can tell you feel the same. I look at your surroundings and long for a relatively warm place to ride. I see palm trees, so nice ! I'm in Idaho and it's extremely cold and windy. Definitely takes the fun out of it. Anyway, my bike sits next to me, nice and warm until the weather breaks. Enjoy your new found passion.
Thanks for sharing your story and be safe
That was probably the most profound video on motorcycling I have ever seen.
So glad you enjoyed it, thanks 😊
Hey Mr. half nomad.👋I totally agree with you. My twin brother and I had scooter age 14 in about 1961. First motorcycle in 1964, a brand new 1965 Honda 250 Scrambler. What a grand time we had riding that machine! Been riding ever since. Now at 77 I'm riding a RE Meteor 350 but at least I'm still riding and enjoying the feeling of freedom. Keep enjoying it and thanks for taking us along🏍😎
Wow, thanks for sharing. Enjoy your meteor 350, safe rides
Dear Half Nomad. Thank you for another beautifully shot video with an inspiring narrative. I have never met an ignorant immigrant and if I were to meet you I would embrace you as my brother. Have a good day - your weekend arrives before mine! Dave
That is so nice of you! My best regards🙏🏼👍🏼
Well said, my friend. I'm really looking forward to more thoughtful motorcycle insights and adventures.
Thanks 😊👍🏼
I didn’t start riding until I was 51… now 59.
Never too late.
So good 👍🏼
Beautiful words, you have a gift of expression. It resonates because of the authenticity of your words. I am a 53 year old bloke, been riding since the 80's and can relate to your interpretation of the interrelationship between life and motorcycle riding. One thing I have learnt, is to enjoy the peace and quiet of anonymity and solitude, in fact seek it out, for the lessons from anonymity and solitude can to an extent, if you listen inwards, bring peace and acceptance to oneself.
So true, you have been absolutely living your rides I can tell from your comments😊👍🏼
I have to feel slightly sorry for chaps like yourself who have discovered Motorcycling later in life,
I guess, I've been lucky, as I've been riding motorcycles for over 50 years now, since I was 16 years old in 1973, passing my motorcycle test in 1975,
Over the years I've owned many makes and sizes of bikes, at present i own a Royal Enfield Hunter 350 and Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 , superb bikes,
I like in Yorkshire UK 🇬🇧 , i enjoy your videos, and get jealous of your weather 😂 it's very cold here in Great Britain at the moment,

Nice video mate...Is that a RE Scram you have there?....
Thanks, its a RE Hunter
Brother i need some advice, i cutoff a friendship with a friend who drove way past his limit and caused me an accident yesterday on his scooter. I got saved because of my studds helmet, but my knees and waist got scrapped. I was saving money to buy rynox gt gloves. I will buy the same royal enfield hunter model, i am a defensive rider.
My question to you is how to find a good riding community?
I am from india, visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh.
Its good to learn your injuries were not serious. I usually ride solo so I am the wrong person to seek any suggestions from. Be careful on the road and ride safe pls
Being broke doesn’t help.
