Dear Marian Fathers: I am familiarizing myself with the Marian literature. I came across a ”stop" sign on page 27. Day 8 describes a comparison of Adam and Eve with Joseph and Mary. I suspect that the Marian Fathers have already reckoned with this issue. The issue us that both Adam and Eve, and Joseph and Mary each lost a son. Adam and Eve lost Able to homicide, Mary and Joseph lost Jesus to crucifixion. So, there was really no difference, except that Jesus, because he was divine and not mortal, was resurrected on the third day. From a contemplative point of view, it seems that they were all, all humankind, are under the same natural laws. The laws of nature are the same for all souls.
