At least in Japan, there is no personality discrimination. Even if the character feels weak, it doesn't make sense to slander the voice actor. It is wrong to deny all abilities. She is a good healer. It is the player who decides to acquire the character, not compulsory
Yes she is a healer but the problem is -100 crate which makes her lose more potential, her skill would be overpowered even if its split scaling with +100crate back to her and her burst too.
Put massive sub stat ER artifact to Kokomi BOOM Ultimate Jesus- Tbf, this is my way building her. So far she as stoic as Zhongli. Kokomi makin 12k is good enough for casual player like me. Meta players, I don't recommended but you do you lol. Don't forget to prioritizes hp, hydro dmg, n healing bonus with 2 HoD n 2 millelith or 2 HoD n 2 maiden. Putting 2 pyro also increase dmg on elemental effect n synergy.

Seriously, my Kokomi managed to defeat an abyss Herald entirely on her own as the last surviving member of my team when everyone else got killed. She couldn’t even use her Burst much since it kept stealing her energy. It was just her, the bake-kuurage, and my terrible dodging skills. And she won Kokomi is immortal
As a person who appreciates art in every form, this demo is aesthetically satisfying. The soundtrack, her storytelling (tho short), and the whole character clip is generally pleasing. I can’t wait to have her on my team.

Her damage is small until you think about it for just 2 seconds and add it up lol.. and idc if someone else does 130k in that amount of time, are they healing a million hp to everyone, and do they have 100% crit rate? Because if not their actual dps is lower than that because of all the times they arent critting. Kokomi is guaranteed

Crazy how nobody liked Kokomi in launch, I even got downvoted in Reddit for saying that everyone was going to end up liking her a lot. She’s still my favorite to this day and I did pull for her on launch. Now she is SS rank, and literally fits in so many teams.
I met her in the secret summer paradise event and from that moment my lifes mission was to get kokomi. I got her in the rerun banner this year and she is worth investing in tbh
Have koko from last rerun and it's hard for me to process the idea that anyone ever thought this was a bad character. She's so good they had to nerf her crits so she wouldn't break the game entirely.
Kokomi is beautiful and the first character design that really wow’d me because she ticked off all my boxes and looked like something out of this world! She is the first character I got to level 90 and the first character I’ve been aiming to triple crown. She is truly a goddess, and she has never once left my main team. I have never had to consume any healing food again, I never worry about dying because Kokomi is there to quickly heal my team. She is amazing and elegant in the way she fights. Beautiful character!
I absolutely love how we have such a serene character calmly talking about the ruthless struggle for survival that is nature. While others may see the ocean and think of its beauty, Kokomi ponders its eternal conflicts.
Not only is she a badly written character, she will also dump us with info for the entire story quest instead of using that time balanced between giving her more depth and expanding the lore making her a budget Yae Miko. WAY TO GO CLOWNHOYO!
A shower thought Each chara trailer from Inazuma had some sort of old-style TV style to it, emphasizing that a nation stuck in eternity is also stuck to its ways. Ayaka’s is the most prominent example when she talks about her sword fighting art at the beginning. Yoimiya had a “comic-book” style to it (ArnezHD words) & Kazuha’s was referencing old samurai movies with Beidou. Yet, each one of them had a sense of rebellion to the new way. Each one of them also had a modern aspect to it, like Kazuha’s music change, Ayaka’s lowfi music, etc. Yet, Kokomi’s didn’t have any beause she is the leader of new beginnings & a new wave. There was no change of aspect ratio, nor color to black-&-white, nada. It is simply that she is the embodiment of the rebellion herself. She is that new wave, that new beginning that leads all of Inazuma. She has the refreshing sense of a new wave of water, yet also handles (& pushes) pressure like water. It’s beautiful!

that demo had some serious "Little Mermaid" feels to it, but in a good way. and now the song is stuck in my head. i'll admit, Kokomo kicking that slime as she does a backflip was pretty funny.
This, so much this! Honestly, it's the only part of her kit that I think Mihoyo HAS to change, it makes no sense to have it limited to her burst when said burst is focused on dealing damage and there's pretty much no combat on water (And even if there was combat, you'd still need to cast it while still on land, so you can't even use while you're out in the sea). At least make her water walking activate with her Elemental Skill so that it doesn't require players to spend energy everytime they want to use it; Ayaka can already stay on water permanently, so balancing is certainly not an issue... I really hope people become vocal about it once she releases so that we have at least a chance of it reaching Mihoyo.

This is the first demo that doesn't hype me up, but makes me feel strangely serene, and that suits her overall character theme Definitely will pull for her just for her design. Edit: Ya'll need to chill, I'm a waifu collector and I'm saying she is good to pull for me, regardless of how others don't like her.
I was certainly one of those people who refused to pull on Kokomi on her first two reruns because I felt like didn't need her in my account. As an F2P player, every five-star is important, that's why I tend to only choose the best damage units so I can perfect my abyss cycles. I refused to pull healers, shielders, and sustain characters because I thought, "Why need heals when you can just kill everything asap?" But times change I guess. As a fisheries student, I slowly got inspired by the beauty of marine life. That was how I remembered there was Sangonomiya Kokomi from Genshin Impact. I slowly started to love how she shoots fishes and makes jellyfishes with her skills and attacks, and how her design is deeply influenced by the colors of the sea and the anatomy of marine organisms. I thought, "Maybe it would be nice if I had a Kokomi myself". As the days passed by, I silently wished on her 3rd rerun banner, kinda hoping she would come, even though I only had 5 pity and a measly amount of primogems to spare (My past self would probably kill me if she learned what I was doing lmao). Finally and unexpectedly, she came home at 30 wishes. Needless to say, I'm so happy cuz this fisheries major finally got a fish. Now, I'm so proud of her because for me, she's not just for there for utility or meta, but she somehow represented our oceans and the rich marine biodiversity we should care a lot more for. So please remember to take care of our oceans (I'm sure Kokomi would have said that as well)! And sending luck to all Kokomi wanters! I hope you guys get her too!
She's my first 5 star and unexpectedly got her during her release (I was still a newbie back then and randomly wished hahaha).. I have no regret getting her because she helped me a lot in abyss and domain, I don't need food and need not to worry losing hp. Currently waiting for Shenhe for my Ayaka premium freeze theme :DD

You know now that I've think about it, it makes sense that she's an on-field healer/enabler since she's a war tactician. So she "commands" her off-field supports to attack while she's enabling their damage on-field while also supporting them by healing.
This demo brings out almost everything I like about Watatsumi Island. The vibrant pastel scenery, the calming and oceanic music and Kokomi! Can't wait till we can explore Enkanomiya and learn more about the Dragonheir!

Its such a shame she wasn't used more in the story, she's got to be one of the best designed characters in the game. She was brimming with potential both as a character and a story point. A small girl is made priestess over a entire island and tasked with fighting a *archon* for the sake of everyone's future only for us the player to trivialize her actions by swooping in and saving the day...We didn't even tell her where we was going after the assault on the delusion factory.

Each chara trailer from Inazuma had some sort of old-style TV style to it, emphasizing that a nation stuck in eternity is also stuck to its ways.
Ayaka’s is the most prominent example when she talks about her sword fighting art at the beginning. Yoimiya had a “comic-book” style to it (ArnezHD words) & Kazuha’s was referencing old samurai movies with Beidou. Yet, each one of them had a sense of rebellion to the new way. Each one of them also had a modern aspect to it, like Kazuha’s music change, Ayaka’s lowfi music, etc.
Yet, Kokomi’s didn’t have any beause she is the leader of new beginnings & a new wave. There was no change of aspect ratio, nor color to black-&-white, nada.
It is simply that she is the embodiment of the rebellion herself. She is that new wave, that new beginning that leads all of Inazuma. She has the refreshing sense of a new wave of water, yet also handles (& pushes) pressure like water. It’s beautiful!

This, so much this! Honestly, it's the only part of her kit that I think Mihoyo HAS to change, it makes no sense to have it limited to her burst when said burst is focused on dealing damage and there's pretty much no combat on water (And even if there was combat, you'd still need to cast it while still on land, so you can't even use while you're out in the sea).
At least make her water walking activate with her Elemental Skill so that it doesn't require players to spend energy everytime they want to use it; Ayaka can already stay on water permanently, so balancing is certainly not an issue...
I really hope people become vocal about it once she releases so that we have at least a chance of it reaching Mihoyo.

I was certainly one of those people who refused to pull on Kokomi on her first two reruns because I felt like didn't need her in my account. As an F2P player, every five-star is important, that's why I tend to only choose the best damage units so I can perfect my abyss cycles. I refused to pull healers, shielders, and sustain characters because I thought, "Why need heals when you can just kill everything asap?" But times change I guess. As a fisheries student, I slowly got inspired by the beauty of marine life. That was how I remembered there was Sangonomiya Kokomi from Genshin Impact. I slowly started to love how she shoots fishes and makes jellyfishes with her skills and attacks, and how her design is deeply influenced by the colors of the sea and the anatomy of marine organisms. I thought, "Maybe it would be nice if I had a Kokomi myself". As the days passed by, I silently wished on her 3rd rerun banner, kinda hoping she would come, even though I only had 5 pity and a measly amount of primogems to spare (My past self would probably kill me if she learned what I was doing lmao). Finally and unexpectedly, she came home at 30 wishes. Needless to say, I'm so happy cuz this fisheries major finally got a fish. Now, I'm so proud of her because for me, she's not just for there for utility or meta, but she somehow represented our oceans and the rich marine biodiversity we should care a lot more for. So please remember to take care of our oceans (I'm sure Kokomi would have said that as well)! And sending luck to all Kokomi wanters! I hope you guys get her too!

Its such a shame she wasn't used more in the story, she's got to be one of the best designed characters in the game. She was brimming with potential both as a character and a story point. A small girl is made priestess over a entire island and tasked with fighting a *archon* for the sake of everyone's future only for us the player to trivialize her actions by swooping in and saving the day...We didn't even tell her where we was going after the assault on the delusion factory.
