this looks like a mix of Warriors Nuggets and 7 sec or less. Sabonis is playing Jokic light while Huerter is playing Steph light and Fox is playing Nash light so the offense looks so easy because they are playing 3 offensive styles which are based on 3 of 5 best offensive teams of 2000s+.

@Chris Simmons What the Kings do is run their offense through Sabonis then 4th quarter let De'Aaron take over. Denver is Jokic or bust all 4th quarters.
@@toddpacker1015 Clearly you haven’t watched fourth quarters lmao. It’s murray jokic two man game which has been extremely effective and have the top clutch defense
@@gt8932 While he has a similar role, Jokic is leaned on much harder in a lot of ways. He is their main scoring engine and when the ball touches him, usually good things happen. Sabonis during the season was a similar distribution hub, but Kings rely on a ton of speed in transition as well, where Sabonis isn't used at all.
Sabonis is MADE for this offense, Barnes and Murray is also perfect for this system. Also Indiana plays this when Sabonis and Mcdermott is on the court, very hard to stop.
Just to broaden the minds of kings fans. Fox was the de facto "best player and the leader" of the kings for 5 years and the kings average about 30 wins. Sabonis shows up. He plays point guard, runs the offense, sets screen, rebounds, pretty much does everything (he tries on defense, which is more than fox) and the kings will win 40 games. The culture builder and changer, the kings best player and leader is SABONIS, not fox.
Sabonis is really key to their offense, but Fox has had some clutch moments to win them games this season. The strength of Fox also helps Sabonis and the rest of the team do their thing. Because he is such an explosive scorer, he needs to be guarded well and that takes pressure off the rest.
This is the type of offense they should have run when DeMarcus Cousins was in his prime. They would have gotten back into the playoffs much sooner. Go Kings!
This is how balkan coaches teach offense, or at least the old ones who played ball back in the day. Very fun and efficient way to get everyone involved
None of this works without sabonis, man is an absolute monster. Our offensive becomes completely different when he’s off the court. Last game with Holmes they added plays for him purely because he can’t do what sabonis does and not worth even trying
Agreed, he is involved in so many actions. A very smart player and certainly a very well rounded center. However I'm not so sure about the part in the video about them having a strong offensive system like past teams that would make 'coaches proud' ala the 2001 Kings, etc. More often than not the offense seems to be run through raw talent of Sabonis and Fox and three point shooting. They could afford to run more plays and off ball screens/movement to open up the offense more and have more of a system in my opinion. They also really need to pick it up on defense of they want to win playoff games.
