Thanks for your recommendation on the Phaze 2 Darren! It fits a perfect slot of clean through the back end. I bowled a little over 10 games and have averaged 170!

Tour Dynam-x is my new favorite as well. House shots literally have 10 board window for miss room. I don't know what kind of magic coverstock they put on that thing but that core shouldn't hook nearly as much as that ball is able to. I love how versatile it is. This is the only ball I can play right of 20 with....or stand against the ball return.... It just strikes from everywhere! And usually runs over the 8-pin to do it LOL.
Hey Darren since I kind of hurt my wrist bowling a bit more the last weeks, I thought it would be really cool if you made a video where you explain what you do for your wrists / forearms etc. to strengthen and prevent injury. I know it would be a different style of video, but I'm sure a lot of people would appreciate it greatly!
A couple exercises you can do is get a dumbbell, between 2-3 pounds, grip it and place your arm on a table with your wrist hanging off it. Now imagine doing a bicep curl, but with only your wrist. After a couple reps, turn your hand to the floor and flex your wrist to the ceiling. Keep doing that and your wrist should get stronger. And on top of that, you should buy some of that tape Darren wears and put it around your wrist. There's usually directions on how to do it in the packaging.
Was in Vegas this week, and spent a night at Southpoint. They are redoing all of their lanes for the 2024 open championships. They’ve done half, and the other half should be finished by end of October. A video on what they are doing, while not your normal format, would be really interesting.

Depends on the sport shot, I would imagine. Shorter patterns, you definitetely want to lay off on your hand, and roll it a bit more. House pattern, I definitely feel the get around it, sorta crank it type style. A lot more leeway, but, at the same time. If you can slowly transition oil into the middle of the lane, by playing more right, and moving slowly left, then start "cranking" it, when it drys up, you might find your self with a better transition.
I just recently bowled my first night in adult league and I started with a 215 then went to 249 and open my ninth frame in the third game and screwed that game up to finish for like a 180 so still finished with the 215 average. I’ll take it

I know exactly what Lance is trying to say. I understand more of what the ball does than the actual reaction of the lanes and oil. I just watch my ball. It’s kinda like people who play music by reading sheet music and knowing the notes rather the people who can hear a song and just know what they are playing and make music that way.
I'd love if y'all could do a video on how pros line up for spares. I know Darren says "don't hook at your spares" but having a general idea where to line up for left side spares as a righty would be great

But as a kid I was exactly like Lance, because in my mind, I had no idea what was going on the lane, as far as oil, layouts, etc. But I can literally see what my ball is doing, so i'd always adjust off of that. Yes, end of day, same principal. But it's like, I wouldn't move certain boards or think what would happen if I move here and do this, maybe too much oil here, I would just see if my ball went high or light and move a little where I stood, lol. Might sound stupid to some, especially as you explain it. But in the mind, it makes sense, and generally, works. So I know exactly what Lance is saying. It might be the same thing, but it's almost like it's easier to comprehend or work off of thinking you're adjusting to the ball and not the lanes.

Idea 1 is next league season set a total season pin count and give Lance a handicap and try to A stay in front of Lance with his bonus pins and B meet and exceed your target for the season. Last week I literally hit pocket 9 of 11 shots, had zero strikes, had 8 9 counts and a pocket split for a 143, while I'm a 215 average bowler 😂, it was one of the craziest games of my life, I left every single 9 tap I possibly could have
I know exactly what Lance means, you can't understand that the lane is telling you something but you see what the ball is doing. They are the same thing but you can't connect them both together. I got the feels there!

Just fyi: the hands to the bottom of the shoes tradition was originally a tactic in basketball games to gross the opponent out. (As in , to make the basketball 🏀 so dirty the opponent doesn't want to handle it.)
I do actually get what Lance is saying about the ball/lane. He reacts to the ball's movement so doesn't realise that he's also reacting to the lane characteristics. It's only in hindsight that he remebers it's the same thing mostly so for a while it's confusing because he thinks he still needs to react to the lane when he already did

Wait what? I thought pin up balls went longer than pin down? Pin down hooks earlier
