Grabbed mine 2 weeks ago. I initially thought it was the 12R due to the marketing, but then I realized it was the Ace 3 all along. It was a pretty understandable confusion since I got the Keqing collab edition, and my place only had the Ace 3 in store. Still, the only difference would be the storage, software (uses ColorOS) and the lack of IP64 resistance which is available in the 12R variant. The performance so far is mind-blowing, and I really hope the SD 8 Gen 2 inside this guy will last me for a couple of years. A good phone indeed.
I personally love that camera module OnePlus is using, you know it's a OnePlus when you see the back of the phone and it's a good thing that they returned to use aluminum frame in the R series. The thing I don't like is that brands are still using those useless 8mpx ultra wide cameras, like the Oppo Reno series used to have good ultrawide lenses, and now the Oppo Reno 11 Pro is using the infamous 8mpx Sony IMX355 for the ultrawide camera, it's ridiculous at this point.

But the market was extremely washed and the new phones were struggling to even match the specs of my old phone for 100$ more. Now that i bought 13T I regularly watch for new phone releases just for fun and they all seem to offer so much more for the money. It's like the phones got better the same amount or more in the 3 months I have the 13T, then in the past 3 years.
I think you shouldn't feel bad about this, as long as your cell phone is working well, without crashes, full storage, bad battery, you shouldn't worry about changing your cell phone.
For consumer electronics you should just buy the best value/your favorite product at the time, and then just completely turn away from news/deals until it no longer functions and you need a new one.

Lmao the phone is perfectly water resistant they just didn't want to pay royalties for an IP rating. Besides the phone actually has the rain touch feature of the OnePlus 12, that should be enough of a confirmation that it is in fact, sufficiently water resistant. OnePlus had made a video of the Ace 2 Pro showered in water, and the display was still working. Guess what, that phone also doesn't have a water resistance rating! But who cares, OP literally confirmed that the phone is water resistant with a video anyway.
