At this point it looks like he's paid to review particular phones. And its surface level reviewing nowadays. He doesn't go in depth like other reviewers. Its quite disappointing because he used to and still is one of my favorite tech reviewers just not as much these days.

It's the only phone with a graphics co-processor. It's storage is UFS 4.0. There's excellent software in there too!

Sucks man a big fan of marques. Seems weird he wouldnt review it. As soon as preorder dropped i preordered. Mrwhosetheboss convinced me he gave it such hi praises and after about 10 reviews and a bunch of articles saying its amazing maybe phone of the year even though its early on i was waiting to see his good thing i preordered before this
mrwhostheboss did a mistake in his video btw afaik. In his video it sounds like it is super bright and reaches around 4000nits, but thats only for hdr content according to GSM Arena

This phone deserves a review. I mean the fact that they're even teasing it for looking the same as last years phone is nonsense since thats exactly what Samsung has done with the S24 line up.
I bet they won't say that theyre too busy for apple or Samsung. Oneplus is no joke with the 12 considering the value for money and the sheer specs alone. And OxygenOS alone needs a review from the MKBHD/his team perspective as well..
Samsung phones look similar but they added a lot of new features. (Plus you have all the drama Exynos vs Qualcomm). The Oneplus12 is basically the same phone than last year with slightly upgraded specs and wireless charging. Smartphone hardware has plateaued, the improvements are minimal. What do you want him to say? "Well it's a good phone and it's cheaper than the concurrence." That would be a boring video about a phone company most of people do not care.

That's sad, I was looking forward for a OnePlus 12 review from you, but the reasoning behind why there won't be any just doesn't really make sense. To claim the reason is because "it only has a few incremental upgrades and I'm busy" while during the same period reviewing the S24 which is basically the textbook definition of incremental upgrade (it's an S23 with some Google AI stuff on top) seems dishonest at the very least.
It honestly would've been better if you just said "there's not as much interest on this phone" or "Samsung reviews get more views so I'm going to prioritize those"

Come on Marques. You should make a longer and honest review. This is better value than many other phones that you have previously reviewed, or you don't want to admit that this is a true flagship killer. There's a plenty to say like for example that the battery and charging is great...
It has a 4500 nits display instead of 2600, they pretty much improved everything from OnePlus 11 and he won't make a dedicated video about it but made bunch of reviews about iPhone 14 which was literally 13, disappointing to see that happening by mkbhd :/

OnePlus is not in carriers. Best but I guess. But stuff like Zenfone, Xperia, imports, .... Plus you can't benchmark phones in a retail location. Can't try out launchers
At this point, it seems like MKBHD only does paid reviews. Most of the reviews are at surface level and I would definitely not make a purchase decision based on them.
What major upgrade did iPhone 15 pro had over 14 pro? USB C? And look how many videos he made about that. Same for S23U and S24U.
OnePlus added wireless charging, added a new camera sensor and it's still "incremental" upgrade. Why don't just say that they didn't pay you (enough)?
OP12 felt like a really solid phone from the event. I pre-ordered immediately & have been refreshing mkbhd's channel everydya but end up looking at new tech reviewers' reviews. Feel great about the purchase even tho seems it doesnt have Marques' approval.

And i hate the curved edges, tall(er than S24+) body, which makes the device look very narrow
Also the alert-slider is placed way too high. When moving your finger there you easily touch the camera bump with your hand.
Ya. I'm disappointed for the third time in you marques. One plus open was having surprisingly great cameras. I infact feel it's miles better than the iPhone 15 pro Max and even the s24 ultra which I'm using now. So I was really interested in the camera quality of the one plus 12

Has anyone figured out how to change dynamic wallpapers? I'm not talking about the pre-installed ones, but to actually download a custom live wallpaper and apply it? I was able to do this easily with my Samsung S23 Ultra, but I can't with Oneplus 12

Possibly a conspiracy to not show the full value of the phone and how it outshines S24 Ultra ($1300) dollar for dollar.

Definitely deserves a review even if it's Apple Vision Pro season now. The review can still be delayed at a later date. OnePlus is a big enough brand and it deserves a review.
With the offer of 512/16gb version for entry price, $100 trade in value for ANY phone, and now having basically no feature downsides, I really think it is the best Oneplus since their original "smartphone killers". Also, they keep their value better that anything except iPhones, so you can sell your OP 11 for like 500 still making the total cost to upgrade $200. With all that, you can spend $200 ever year and have always top of the line phones, or keep the same phone for 4 years and spend $800 to get a new one and not get anything for your old one since it has lost all it's value. Choice is clear for me. Samsung, in my opinion, make slightly better phones, but it is so darn close now. Oneplus is basically the only android phone you can do this with.
He wont review it because this phone shows how much everyone is being screwed by Apple, Samsung, and Google. It rivals the S24 Ultra for almost half the price

Bad move not making a review i was waiting for his video i bought OnePlus 6 after his review and wanted to upgrade this year after 6 years and im disappointed that he is not making one after OnePlus really tried to put things in a better way
I'm sure he will come around and review it. In the meantime, there are many, many others on YT that will be reviewing the phone, so there will be plenty of opinions. I'm a current OP user (8T which is still working well to this day), but I will eventually update to either the 12 or the 24 Ultra, and I'm torn between the two.
Please do a review of the one plus 12, to make a compatibiliteit between the China Phone development VS western companies developments. Why are they creaping ahead ? Specially on the eye comfort setting, bluefilters, PWM, dc dimming

I just got my new OnePlus 12 and I have to say OnePlus did a very great work on OnePlus 12....I have used OnePlus smartphone since 3, 5T , 7 pro , 10 pro , Nord 2T and I have to say the display Is way way way better in new OnePlus 12.... the display is smooth like Butter....❤❤ the Battery backup is so good...and Camera , performance is just lit💥💥... and the haptic feedback is another level

No let's say we're busy because we want to pump out videos for the new Apple tech that didn't get sold out and is too expensive for the average person to afford. But it'll give us a lot of views right, and that's all we really care about. We won't do a review on a phone that we said was bad last year and literally millions of people are waiting on our thoughts for it this year. Remember guys we gotta fight for the consumer. Keep it up MKBHD ✌️

Honestly i think it’s pretty lame that he just skipped the oneplus 12 because it’s the affordable flagship that most people can actually get and has made huge improvements over the last years version.
OnePlus didn't get rid of the alert slider. It just was not on the 10T. The only reason they deleted it from that phone was to make room internally for the advanced 125 watt charging. Internally, there wasn't room for both. In fact, OnePlus publicly stated that it was not a permanent deletion but, people freaked out anyway. Furthermore, the alert slider was present on the 10 Pro and the 11. Much to do about nothing over one oddball variant device. LOL
I'd also like to state that OnePlus never had problems with their software. The problem was with Android 12. In fact, Android 12 was an awful operating system and it wreaked havoc with many devices from several manufacturers. Unfortunately, Android 12 came out at the same time that they revamped oxygen OS and gave it several color OS features. Instead of blaming Google for the issues with Android 12, people misdirected the blame to OnePlus. At the end of the day, it was never a problem with their software. When Android 13 rolled out, their software ran flawlessly.
