Britney's singing voice as a child is her natural voice. However her record label thought it was too similar to Christina Aguilera's voice (who was launching her music career around the same time) so she was coached to sing in the way we know to differentiate herself even though it's unnatural for her and apparently quite damaging to her voice. That's also apparently why she lip syncs so often.
Now they still won’t let her sing naturally and it’s beautiful her singing naturally. I wish and hope she gets the freedom she deserves. Taylor Swift is doing what she wants, Kesha is happily doing the same thing too, and now it’s Britney’s turn. For instance she once a couple years ago posted on her Instagram of her singing ‘happy birthday’ to a celebrity friend of hers. Within 12 to 24 hours later, her record label or someone else like that removed it to avoid people hearing her raw, natural sound. But so many people already seen it and have it on record before it got deleted. That’s just one example though. I love her anyway I just hope she gets her freedom.
she used lowered larynx when she was young when singing, as most kids so, to sound darker and more like an adult, but that was closer to her natural voice than what the industry made her sing in,which destroyed her voice. it's a lot of straining to go through. her voice is more in the middle
I thought that it was because his voice was too deep for the song. They wanted something higher but his voice was a lot deeper so they used Drew Seeley for the first film.
The entertainment industry has a lot to answer for - when "child star" is associated with trauma in girls especially - there is something seriously wrong. But it's not just the entertainment industry, it's how these young women are treated by all of us really - what we expect from them and how we treat them and talk about them. Good on Roomie for mentioning it.
Actually, Demi Lovato's story is so painful and a lot more complicated than that. She almost died from an overdose, and the performance you saw was the first time she performed the single Sober, and she was a little pitchy because she started crying while singing. Demi is one of my biggest idols. She has gone through so much, eating disorders, self-harm, addiction and rehab, and ended up on the other side. She's amazing. I'm hoping for more videos about her music, actually. That would be cool! Anyways, great video as always! ❤️ Best part of my day ❤️

Demi Lovato actually has Bi polar one.... she didn’t have “sniffy dust issues” she had some psychotic outbreaks. Kanye West also has bipolar. (Just for example)
Demi has talked extensively about her drug issues. Sober (the song they reacted to) was written about how she had a relapse after like 2 years of being sober. So yes she did and still does have "sniffy dust issues." She does also have Bipolar disorder which also has not been a secret. But you can have a disorder and still have addiction. In fact, people with disorders are more likely to have some sort of addiction in an effort to self medicate.
@@bookXbat I kind of agree but disagree too. Having a drug addiction would rather have you more likely to have bipolar disorder and rarely the other way around.
@@BroJo676 I can tell you for a fact, and this is coming from a recovering addict; a significant number of us have mental health disorders, and not that this has to do with Demi because frankly, I don't know, but a lot of us also suffer from trauma, as well, prior to our addiction coming into the picture. It's not the other way around usually. It tends to be a lacking of knowing how to adequately and healthily cope with the mental health struggles that some know of and some don't, which leads to whatever context of trying drugs and then the brain fires off from there; being that our brains react vastly different to the effects of drugs than someone who does not have the disease of addiction. In some cases where people are physically dependent on pain medication, for example, usually due to a severe injury or illness, the consistent intake of the pain meds leads to the development of addiction in the brain. Still, even then, that doesn't apply for everyone physically dependent on narcotics. Not everyone physically dependent develops the disease of addiction. Not that that last part had anything to do with the topic, lol; it's just some educational information. You wouldn't imagine how many people don't realize that there is a difference between chemical dependency and addiction.
@@kate_m_k88 Chemical dependency is a form of addiction but not the only one. I mean, it's possible to get addicted to weed, which is weak, slow, or even unable to induce chemical depency, as it induces emotional/psychological dependency. And addiction has your body and/or mind feel like you can't be functional or comfortable as long as you haven't consumed the thing you're addicted to. And most of the time, people develop mental health issues after religiously consuming drugs. The other way around is not that common. And I'm not saying it's impossible for people overwhelmed by their problems to escape by getting high on whatever they can lay their hands on, drugs just make it way worse.
