The ZUN trumpets bring bliss to my SOUL, great job with this! The instrumental is on point to Toby Fox’s style throughout the UT soundtrack! (Though, his homestuck/cucumber quest and Deltarune style is different.)

Hey Mington, I personally would like to say your music is great and I always come to check out the new releases, I enjoy listening to your music late at night, as always be great and continue to bring us music lovers to glory with your songs, and have a nice night/day💕
I like it overall, but I have a few criticisms. Although it sounds “nice”, a lot of the song feels forced and stiff. The melodies don’t feel dynamic, and different sections of music don’t flow into each other well. Adding in an emotional section for the sake of having one isn’t how I’d imagine Toby Fox made Battle Against a True Hero. The section feels like it has meaning in that song because it was added in to give the song a sense of pacing, as if the song itself were telling a story with the “emotional section” being a perfectly timed breather. I also don’t think watching analysis videos on RUclips won’t help you get the trick. Sure they’ll help you understand and appreciate aspects of the music you might’ve missed, but a lot of being inspired has more to do with seeing what feels right to you as apposed to always listening to what others think is right. Basically, it comes down to experience as well as trial and error. You have lots of potential. Keep up the good work
Thats not even true💀 It actually sounds perfect for what it is, the song seems like it's rushed and stiff because that's the story, it sounds like a tense battle, so it actually helps that it sounds rough.
I see this was posted today, so I'll give my take. I pretty much agree with you. While listening I found myself not fully invested, due to the patterns sort of staying stiff and repeating a bit too often for my taste. The instrumentation was very on point, but the melody comes off as too repetitive and forced. Toby does repeat a lot of his melodies, but he composes them in a way that layer on top of each other and flow together in the end!
composition itself is really good but instrumentation could be improved to be more fitting to undertale (the drums especially) that undertale soundfont is a good first step but toby usually has a more variety and generally more mixing too theres a google drive that has all toby soundfonts he uses if youre interested :)
In my opinion it's a bit too repetitive with the same 2 melodies being repeated the entire song, but i can see you have potential. This doesnt exactly sound fully like an UT song but it has some elements of them. With enough trial and error I'm sure you could do it.

I thought it was Sweet Trumpet from the Earthbound soundfont
Sounds like a theme that'd play when you and Papyrus are fighting Undyne
sounds like Touhou more than UNDERTALE, which is funny
Touhou fans when they hear any trumpet in a battle theme:
what is tohou

Now we gotta have someone make an Undyne fangame boss fight with an Ultra Undyne phase to use this theme. Lol

@@Real_Connor I will beg to disagree, but you do bring up an interesting and valid point.

@@wasabi5134 I also really like the instrumentation. I pretty much agree with everything you said.
it doesnt sound forced to me, but it does sound kinda stiff
this just sounds like touhou music
For some reason this reminds me of Touhou ost. maybe its because of the trumpet but still.
you're not the only one it's ok haha
That sounds amazing dude
This theme is great is what I can use this for my game don't worry I'll credit you as the composer of this
this feels like they would use orange attacks but very rarely so it catches you off guard
this sounds so familiar yet i have never heard it. amazing song ❤️
I'm the 1,000 subscriber. 🗿 Congrats on 1k.
This goes HARD
The transitions between the loud trumpet and slow piano parts could be better but it's still really good!
thanks! ill keep that in mind

if toby drank too much beer everytime he made music
Great job!
Good video, good song
I think you made a Touhou theme, simply because you took inspiration for the one song that was most based off Touhou. Still sounds great though
