I invested in this system when I started hauling....best money that I spent in my transport setup. I pulled several of the 37 and 38 foot trailers and I couldn't even make them wiggle behind me! And very easy to setup. If I were still doing RV transport, the GenY hitch would have been my next investment.
We've talked about this before, but I have the same exact set up down to the Gen Y. I've never had a weight distribution to compare it to, but it's hard to imagine it getting any better.
You can use the shank that comes with the blue ox. We upgraded to the GenY. The only pitfall on rv transport using the solid shank is that the trailers are manufactured at different heights so that is why we use the GenY
The shank that comes with the blue ox is about 6" to 7" drop so I don't see how it would be possible. I guess it could be cut down and used in the GenY but the real answer would be no, you would need the GenY Adapter.
The weight distribution hitches are safe to remove. Most people don’t know that you need to raise the trailer jack while attached to your truck to remove the spring weight. About 2 inches. Not raising your height yes is dangerous 😳
Very helpful video. Lots of detailed points. Well done!!
Very informative Tom and Bunny thank you .
Great video enjoyed watching we have the blue ox we love it from Dan.s
I love mine. I went in to get the husky but Ryan talked me into the blue ox. MUCH more expensive but much better and easier system to use also.

I watch the videos to the end.😁
Thank you 😊
They are some super nice folks there.
Can you use the stock Shank for the Blue Ox or do you have to buy a Gen Y to use it with the Boss hitch ?

@@TowAwayCouple thanks for the info
Comfortable hitch, rides well, but, can be very dangerous when removing! And, does little to manage sway! Definitely better hitches available!
