I use to move rvs for 8 years and had my whole back seat as my bed and dot never said a word about it. But never lost my windows great video. Plus I never ran sleeper birth either.

Comfortable hitch, rides well, but, can be very dangerous when removing! And, does little to manage sway! Definitely better hitches available!

Is it common for individuals to have pay full amount up front when having a camper transported?

I’ve got a short bed truck and thinking of getting into this, I have a normal stationary 5th wheel that mounts to the rails from my previous dually would that hitch work fine or should I look at getting a slider?? Btw I’m new here, my wife and I enjoy the vids ✌️

I was looking at Indiana transport n got the truck ready last year n then they say not hiring. Spent all that money on all the stuff to do it then i guess the bottom fell out or something in the industry. 😂 Anyways question i have is isit normal to get charged 60$ to oick your load up from the yard sounded like bullshit to me when they already gigging you for half the price of the load per mile . Every rv store ive talked to is paying over four dollars per mile so WTF 😒 is going on there???

Iv driven with a RAM 2500 FOR 35000 MILES AND NO ISSUES

If you run a bumper pull trailer mount a camper shell on the bed and make a sleeper they are DOT approved sleepers I've also Ran hotshot with a Dodge B250 and 350 conversion van take one captain chair out the one closest to the door for more room I made a sleeper in back of GMC Yukon XL and a GMC Envoy XL towing 20ft and 22ft flatbed trailer but if you tow a Gooseneck trailer mount a Rooftop tent on the gooseneck of your trailer I know the rooftop tent is DOT approved sleepers they also make a sleeper they can mount on the gooseneck of your trailer but the rooftop tent is way less expensive

3 years late, but 14 gallons gets you 1/2 shower credit. I’m a show transporter with a pickup and a 36 gallon tank. Never went with aux tank as my bladder determines my stops right in line with the tank :)

I'm about to try to sign on with another company that makes more and only make a run with IT to make money for fuel cost.

Tons of run atm with IT. Of course the pay is lower than most and i dont understand. .20 cents more a mile at IT would make it great. Everybody would want on and they have no problems. IT just lining the pockets they have to make up.

I am seriously considering doing this as a full time job. I live in Ontario, Canada and I keep hearing stories that vendors here can not get enough Camper Trailers, Motor Homes or Camper Vans. I feel that with my love of driving I would be a perfect fit. I just need to know if it's worth it. Can I make a living ? Can the Motor Homes be driven or do they need to be carried ? Same for Camper Vans. I have so many questions. I would rather not work for a service. I would prefer to work with a vendor here in Ontario. Is that an option ? If you can answer these question I am sure I will have more. Thank you

I'm thinking about getting into hotshot trucking, and also looking at RV transport. I gather these companies require you to lease with them, rather than hauling for them as an independent driver, correct? Assuming I have to contract with them exclusively, what are your options for the return trip? You just dead head back and eat that expense, or are there opportunities for return loads? If you're contracted to a company, do you have to take loads they provide (if available) or are you free to find your own loads? What's the best option for regular work....tow away, and return with a possible power only load, or transporting multiples on a trailer and maybe getting a vehicle load on the return? I got a million questions....

All sounds like a scam... Come pick up at our yard, but pay for the trailer to get to the yard. Pay your insurance, but also pay our insurance. Deliver door to door, but we'll pay you from zip code boundary to boundary.

I use to do RV transport with Morgan Drive Away, then Classic Transport. But I don't know if Morgan is still in business. I do know Classic is. This was back in the 1990's We left Indiana in 1995 and moved back to Texas. Then in 2006 I went back to work for Classic for a few months. I have to say I'm glad I am no longer on the road alone. Back then my husband was still alive. Plus I will be 78 next month and enjoy my retirement.

You are definitely not alone...I too have very little trust in other people working on my equipment and I watch them and question them a lot. Especially about safety - if you consider yourself paranoid, you are not paranoid enough!

Just an FYI, passenger vehicles are not subject to Federal Motor Carrier Safety Laws. As such DOT regulations do not apply to any non-commercial vehicle. If you are required to have either a Class A or Class B Commercial Drivers License, those rules would apply to you, even when you are in your personal vehicle. DOT laws apply to commercial vehicles that are in excess of 10,000 lbs, and anyone who possesses a Commercial Drivers License

My wife and I ran a party house for 20 years, we stopped on or about the end of December 2011. Lee was injured by a former Moragage Broker. in Feb 2000, he ran over Lee because Lee was about to testify in regards to Mortgage Fraud, against the individual. Lee spend 92 days in the hospital, 45 in a coma. He is fine now!
