    Float Valve Setup Instructions
    After float valve installation, there will be some experimenting and analysis of the valve that may be required to balance the tower operation with makeup water. Normally, the setting of the float valve will be set so that zero water is wasted during pump shutdown through the overflow. However, the water level depth during the start up of your pump must be deep enough to ensure maximum pump suction.
    To set the basin water level, adjust the wing nuts so that the make-up valve is completely shut when the water level gets to 1/2″ below the overflow connection. These settings will produce operating levels shown in your Maintenance and Operating Manual. To adjust make-up assembly see that manual for the manufacturers’ suggested operating levels. Set the bleed rate and desired cycles of concentration and then you can begin operation. It’s always safe to let it run for 24 hours before you check and readjust.

    Clean job bro. I was a building engineer on an old manufacturing building that was reconstructed for a new company during the pandemic. A lot of equipment including HVAC was done incorrectly. It was a mickey mouse job. Found cooling tower that had make up water that was hammering big time everytime it replenished water or when the float valve opened. Could you guess why? The cooling tower and everything else was less than six months old. The cooling tower was BAC. Could you guess why it was hammering everytime the float valve opened?

      If there was no solenoid with the sensor rods was the solenoid a soft closer and the sump had no waves like the ocean

    • @md929
      @md929 5 месяцев назад

      @@edswider9309 It's been a while and reason why was because the valve was sticky and fluttering. It was plastic and replaced with something sturdier. Metal valve I think.

    @fareskq2937 3 года назад +2

    You really need to shut down the whole system to replace the float valve!!!, you can just simply use other water source (for makeup water) using water hose and monitor basin level,

    • @JumpermanTech
      @JumpermanTech  3 года назад +2

      That would be in a emergency situation to do it live like that which is def possible but we don't take shortcuts. Plus, we are here to make money👀 lol. Thanks for watching & I appreciate the feedback! Stay safe out there and stay tuned for new videos every week!
