her back story is heartbreaking, her biological mum had 12 kids and Diana is the only one that survived, she was one of twins. after a life of abuse and after a particularly vicious attack her mum broke her collar bone and arm and threw 4 year old Diana out into the street in the freezing Siberian winter, Diana ended up in an orphanage were she met her adopted mum (who you see in these vids looking very proud) Diana was an elective mute and because of this singing lessons were introduced to her as a way for her to communicate, the rest is history, this explains to some degree where her voice comes from and the amount of practice she has already put in. I have never heard a voice like hers before and im truly thrilled she made it, against all the odds because of people like Igor, who has moved Diana away from her home of Kazakhstan because her biological mum was causing trouble for them still . he's the last chap to press his buzzer in the "you are super' contest that Diana rightfully won. Big time Russian composer who is paying Diana and her mum's rent somewhere safe and putting Diana through finishing school.

Hi Becky sorry my reply is so late I only discovered Diana Ankudinova threw these reaction videos the other day threw some research i have found that Diana lived quite a dark life until she was 4 years old and moved to a orphanage not sure when she was adopted but she was and the woman seen back stage in some of her videos is the 1 that adopted her I think she is using the low deeper darker colors in her voice for the show "You Are Super" which she does win pretty sure she uses the darker colors in her voice to set the song apart from herself to give the illusion that the song is much more mature then herself she does speak in a normal voice and can sing songs in a much higher register truly a gifted child
Please don't take this the wrong way, but Cher is not in Diana's league. Not even close. Cher can only dream of having Diana's beautiful rich tone and vocal control. Diana is already world class and is still just a kid. I can only imagine when Diana's voice is fully developed in 5-10 years!
I have to 100% agree with that statement. She may be slightly comparable to cher but not even close tubing in the same league. Diana's range is astronomical and then you have that magical siren tone that will bring tears to your eyes

If she's 'mini' because she's not as well known or popular then there are other terms than can describe that better. If you're going to call her a 'mini Cher' because she's not as popular then you need to state that so people know for sure what you mean. After all, the actual meaning of 'mini' is just 'small'. And Diana is not small in any obvious way.
For a complete understanding of Diana you must understand that in fact she began to sing before speaking! Her mother was an alcoholic and did not care about the child at all, Diana was constantly hungry and no one even spoke to her. And when Diana was about three years old, her "mother" tried to drown her in the bathroom! Diana broke free and ran away from the house, on the street passers-by picked her up and took her to the police station, Diana was placed in an orphanage, and her mother was deprived of her parental rights. There was a nurse in the orphanage who loved Diana so much that she adopted her. But the child actually did not know how to talk at all, because NOBODY talked to her until three years old! Her speech apparatus was completely undeveloped! After long trips to various doctors, the adoptive mother was advised to take Diana to a vocal studio in order to facilitate the development of speech abilities more easily. That is why Diana from four years old is constantly engaged in singing - and God grant the health and happiness of her real mother (not a fake biological one) for saving this soul and talent for all of us! And it is precisely the difficult fate and personal history that allows Diana to FEEL every song, she’s not just “singing words” or imitating someone’s performance, but she is experiencing SENSE - it is clear that she LIVES with music, and not just shows talent ...
