- In 2004 Paramount released a short documentary on the Borg. The only versions of this documentary available are 260p very low quality from the internet. Even the version on startrek.com's website is the same low-quality video.
Now, using advanced video upscaling techniques, SRS Fleet, a fleet from Star Trek Online, has improved the quality of this video enormously and present it here for your enjoyment.
This film is Copyright ©2004 Paramount studios and has been upscaled as a fan-made project under fair use limitations

Thank you for remastering this as best you could!
You're welcome
Excellent work! It was a real treat to see this blast from the... past?! Oh now I really feel old.
That has to be one of Patrick Stewart's finest hours in acting....being a Borg. He deserves many Oscars anyway....but he really nailed the Borg transformation, in my opinion.
I WILL MAKE THEM PAY FOR WHAT THEY HAVE DONE!
You'll break your little ships
While Star Trek enterprise was not really that great, creating a paradox linked to first contact was a great idea. The borg planted seeds of their eventual invasion of earth, possibly twice. And the fact that certain terms were omitted during the episode, maintains a timeline, since Starfleet would not know anything about the species given this was an isolated incident.
okay, theory: the borg queen that we see in Picard is actually alternate timeline Admiral Janeway, and the real borg queen was destroyed with Unimatrix One.
This was absolutely amazing.....WELL DONE!
I want to see all of the episodes that i missed,it looks GOOD.
The Borg are definitely my favourite non human life form. Endlessly fascinating
Calling them " EVIL " is like calling the shark from JAWS evil. They're following their programming just like the shark is reacting to the smell / taste of blood in the water.
Someone should find the HD footage used from the movies and shows and splice the commentary into it.
Thank you, and well done.
It’s crazy even for fetch, but I could see if humanity with machines in the future
Amazing just amazing
It's been a while since I've seen that and it looks sooo much better. Thanks Matt
Very well done Matt, thanks for that!
Buenísimo, muchas gracias. Great, Thank you
In STO they just introduced the BORG KINGDOM that makes the collective look TAME by comparison.
All Borg including the new ones in STO are ludicrously easy to deal with, even on elite difficulty.
@@SRS-GAMES TRO but STO there Borg are not the same terror mainly because by that point they are an old enemy.
nice , especially becaus Star treck Voyager was recorded on tape insted of of chemical film
Who was the voiceover / narrator for this video?
memory-alpha.fandom.com/wiki/Vaughn_Armstrong
@@SRS-GAMES Damn, that was fast. And wow! This guy has had *so many* appearances and I honestly couldn't tell.
Great doc on the "borg"!!! 👏👏👏
The borg are based off a real human society called the society of Jesus, who's second general was named BORGia. Fyi
@@foxmulder7616 I did some research. A real human society? Borgia... a general? I didn't see anything remotely close to what you're claiming.
Point me to some proof, and I'll buy into it. Can you provide a link to a credible source?
Very well done if only CBS would make such Documentary's it reminds me of Axnarr :)
Why would you make the music louder than the voice over?
The music and the voice over are unchanged from the original. You'd have to ask CBS.
Too bad you did not include the Borg encounter in Picard... maybe the show was too new.
The Borg are to Star Trek what the Tyranids/Great Devourer are to Warhammer 40000, and the Zerg are to StarCraft.
