- My first "how to" video so go easy on me. You don't see many videos on these older bikes so I thought I would post one.
Thanks for watching and please don't forget to subscribe.
This is an awesome and helpful “how to” for this old bike!!
The oil filter is an 89939!
Thanks
Couldn't find where this filter was until I saw this video! Thanks for showing the process
Extremely useful video! Especially since I'm a learning "gear head" but it would help if you could list the parts that you used in the video...unless it's a common thing of knowledge that I have yet to learn haha
Good advice to replace that rubber seal around the cover. My bike dumped all its oil within seconds because I didn’t. Fun
Nice video. Straight and to point. Well done. I have CM400A. Kinda weird bike but good just around town
bex1036 thanks they are fun little bikes to have around.
Honda CM400E since 1981model? that's Nice! oil changed good!
Thanks for watching. This bike is my wife's and it was time for an oil change. 😬
An oil change would not be fun with out the funky music you had playing. ;) Must be hot where you live if you're using 20w50! Ride safe bro.
Glad you like the music😁 20w50 works good for me. Thanks for watching. ✌🏻️
Great tutorial. What NGK spark plugs did you use? And what was the gap you set them at? Thanks again.
Good "How to" video - thanks for sharing :-)
Thanks for watching Shaun. ✌🏻️
Thanks for the info. Subbed
Chickenbone thanks for the sub 👍🏻
part numbers for the o rings ?
I wonder if those oil filters and the o-ring are still available?
Trevor Jameson yes sir they are
Great video simple and very informative was wondering where did u get the ruber seals from cant seem to find em at my local parts store
Hey could someone help me,im looking for Honda cm 125 Oil filter change, didnt find it amd i heard from some people 125 uses sieve, not a filter is this true?If it is,where is it located
Great video!
Hey can you do me a favor and open the headlight casing so i can see how this wiring goes.It was all apart when i got my 400 and cant get headlight back in
Hey thanks for posting. Not too many videos on these bike. I'm about to do mine soon. A question, on the side of the cylinder, there are 2 deep holes. I got water in there from washing it, I thought those holes were sealed! Would the water get mixed with the oil? If I drain the oil, it would also drain the water thay got it? Super nervous about it!
It’s possible I guess. Change the oil it can’t hurt.
Great video! Thanks! I was just wondering if you know the size/serial number for the o-ring. I have been looking online everywhere and can't find one.
Paul Goff sorry not sure of the size of the o-ring. Normally the o-ring comes with the filter.
Good video, music not conducive for motor heads.
Why do your exhaust pipes look different than mine? I have the same model bike. Mine is a 1981. My pipes go toward the outside as soon as they come out of the cylinder, your bend in.
Do you have links for the o ring and filter?
Awesome tutorial thanks! First time rider.. Honda CM450A I usually just have my mechanic knock out an oil change when I bring it in for other service but I did it myself thanks to the tutorial... that being said... it's leaking out of the oil filter bolt. Did I tighten it too much or did I add too much oil? Or perhaps something else? I put in 2.5 quarts as instructed through another source. Any ideas? thanks so much for this... really helped a lot!
Mike Capozzi Thanks for watching. Did you replace the oil filter bolt o-ring and torque to your bike torque specifications?
Hey thanks for responding so quickly..that's awesome of you. I did replace the o-ring.. the bolt itself is very stripped but I tightened it back up to the way it was before the process.
Well.... I fixed it. You may have guessed what happened but I wanted to let you know. The casing itself cracked! Thankfully my parts store a few miles away had one for me. So that all being said... perfect "how to" and worked perfectly for me. Thanks again
Awesome glad you found the problem and the parts to fix the leak. 👍🏻
What exhaust setup is that??
My MC is do for oil change soon, it's a pain in the ass to do. The oil filter is in the worse possible place. Anyway, well done! Tarr
Are you riding a HD?
Yes, Tarr O2 flhr with only 25,000 miles
+Al Diaz I have a 03 FLHRI with 10,000 miles. Seen in the video.
Solid, seen it in the video, 03 is an anniversary addition with the metal decal on the tank?
Man I thought my mileage was low, get her on video. I'm gonna try to do the same. Ride safe!
5-20 wont hurt the engine??

Thanks for the kind words. I also subbed you back. Thanks for watching.
How many liters of oil needed?
I’m not sure on how many liters. I would check your bikes owner manual for liters.
What size filter is that
Tony Heilker wix filter 24939 or I think you can use a fram ch6008 just make sure you check that it will fit your bike before you buy.
Tarrnation thanks I have a cm400t
