It's actually an excellent callback to how Robyn's father treated her. He caged her inside the city because he loved her and wanted to protect her. So to Robyn, caging is the definition of love. Which is how she decided she was going to protect Mebh.

I love this movie. It has a great message about not persecuting wolves! It also makes me upset that my fellow Britons once wiped out wolves from our country, and that people still persecute wolves and kill them. It also bothers me that people still think they’re big and scary and that they eat people. They don’t! They are actually very shy creatures around humans. Wild wolves generally stay away from humans and pose a very, very minor threat to us. Attacks by healthy, wild wolves on humans are actually extremely rare. They also aren’t as large as some people think they are either. They are beautiful. They are vital, apex predators. They are far, far, far better to the Earth and all other animals than humans are. Yes, they hunt and eat meat, but that’s nature, and that’s what they need to do in order to survive. They actually benefit whole ecosystems a great deal and even benefit the prey species by doing this. Wolves also don’t build factories and pollute the air, drive vehicles, destroy forests or produce plastic. Humans (as a species, not as individuals - I love and care about humans as individuals) are the worst species ever!

The black outline cames back to Robyn when she goes to that place, I just noticed it. When she's with Mebh at the forest she has that sketchy outline, but when she gets the dress her outline (or the one used for all the townies) cames back
I like how Moll’s eyes move similarly to that of real canines while listening to the conversation of the Protector and Bill after Mebh leaves the village.
Well, Robyn did tell Cromwell that there was another way to get the wolves to leave. The wolf walker, Moll, had to be freed, but Cromwell refused to listen.
It's sad that he didn't at least hear Robyn out, since she knew of the wolfwalker he had, but he didn't know it was a wolfwalker, nor did he believe in it.
Did you noticed something about Bill Goodfellow (Robyn's father) and Mebh's mother (sorry I don't know her name)? Bill Goodfellow doesn't care about anything wright or wrong (he follows whatever the lord protector says and always convince his daughter to follow the same, as he doesn't want to be separated from his fellow daughter), Mebh's mother also doesn't care about her territory, forest or her life (Although she knows she was captured and might be killed, she wanted her daughter not to save her, (risking the lives of Mebh and the wolf pack)). Everything they know about is to keep their daughters safe. ❤️
It's because of this I set Bill as Lawful Neutral and Moll (Mehb's mother) as Neutral Good. Bear in mind they wanted to leave anyway, so the forest doesn't really matter at that point. She does show concern for her pack (albeit secondary to her daughter). I say neutral because she doesn't follow the rules and laws of the land (set up by Lord Protector, but I may be mistaken).
In the beginning, she’s reserved and only growling to voice her displeasure, but the moment her daughter was threatened, her maternal instincts kicked in and she decided to ditch her “No biting policy” just to protect her child.
I loved the story very well told a well done illustration I liked your work on this animation deserved a space from DreamWorks animation my congratulations you have the gift and talent.
Is it bad I I blurted out "oh thank god" when mebs mom bit Robin's dad. I was so worried about what would happen between Robin and her dad since hes a wolf hunter and shes now a wolf Walker. I know he wouldn't kill her if he found out but he would definitely send her away for her safety and they might never see each other again.
I honestly am not sure I liked Bill becoming a wolfwalker. I think the story would've had a more thematic benefit from him not becoming one. On the other hand, he would've lost his daughter and his life has he not become one.

I bring this up to my mom and she goes into rants about how they’re brutal killers that go into killing frenzies when they smell blood. Like mom. They’re wolves, not sharks. Plz stop trying to demonize them in front of me.
@@DawnzeenaMcGill not even sharks are like that, people just demonize stuff way to munch
@@emmannuelbutler7245 I was referring to people chumming water for those shark cage dives and how sharks can smell blood in the water from really far away. Of course my mom is always like “well sharks don’t kill just to kill when they smell blood and go into blood lusts, wolves will go on killing sprees and not eat it if they smell blood” like, mom, I have studied wolves before, how many reports and essays did I do in middle and high school where I actually used research from actual scientific studies and not some random video or article with no scientific credit like you keep sending me to “prove” wolves are evil? Aye ye ye.
Autocorrect is stupid and changed article to arrival and I had to change it. I hate autocorrect.
@@DawnzeenaMcGill well that's just on a whole other level
@@DawnzeenaMcGill wolves are my favourite animal. No idea why people demonize them ONLY TWO PEOPLE HAVE BEEN KILLED BY WOLVES IN THE LAST HUNDRED YEARS!
The only monster in that story is that village of evil humans.
It was disturbing and sickening of how the townies were behaving so barbaric, cruel and inhumanly irrational towards a trapped and helpless animal like it’s a demon from hell and they demand it be destroyed.
This scene was so emotional I couldn’t see much of it because my eyes fogged over too much. this movie is so beautiful. the bond between Mebh and her mother is so touching. everyone thought it was funny until Mebh howled. I’m so happy the wolves got their happy ending.
From what I've heard of old Cromwell, I would not put it past him to be as evil as he's shown to be in this movie 😟
From what I’ve read about him, he’s one of the most divisive English politicians in history, and he is not remembered fondly amongst the Irish today.
He’s the Margaret Thatcher of Irish history.

That's because Netflix turned this movie down. They're idiots.
One thing i loved the most.. Is that this end up as a really nice ending where mebh and her mother regained again as a family with... I Donnu why but it seemed that they're sisters now.. coz in the end they're parents are like meriage
The black outline cames back to Robyn when she goes to that place, I just noticed it. When she's with Mebh at the forest she has that sketchy outline, but when she gets the dress her outline (or the one used for all the townies) cames back
Subtle storytelling.
I enjoy seeing wolf walkers and 100% wolf
2:14 you can see mehb‘s mothers eyes go wide! The moment when insanity of protective mother took over ❤
the angry baby shaking its fist at 0:17 is killing me
I just found that.
This scene made me cry :

But dont worry they bringed her in life and then robins dad merried the mum- i dont remember there both names

I 💕 the video....so Amazing
Me: we don't need to kill wolves
Cromwell: SILENCE
Me: fine THEN SEE HOW WELL YOU DO WITHOUT ME!
I love this movie man🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Did you noticed something about Bill Goodfellow (Robyn's father) and Mebh's mother (sorry I don't know her name)?
I know she's chained up, but I'm surprised Moll didn't try to fight back a little bit when they let her out. I know I would've.
Moll was smart not to fight back. She knew the lord protector would try to kill her if she did.
In the beginning, she’s reserved and only growling to voice her displeasure, but the moment her daughter was threatened, her maternal instincts kicked in and she decided to ditch her “No biting policy” just to protect her child.
This movie brings Nostalgia to me
“I’m a wolf Walker.”
*crossbow bolt hits her, screen fades to black*
*Outro SpongeBob music*
I love this artstyle
this movie kinda reminds me of brave the 2012 movie
This is way superior compare to brave movie :3
@@Alderite Respectfully disagree. However, I do admit that I loved this movie and Song of the Sea (I haven't watched Secret of Kells yet, I'm sorry! :c) and I'd be more than willing to watch this movie for a second time. ^-^

The Lord Protector reminds me of Frollo, as they both talk of God, and they want to create a genocide, Frollo with gypsies and Oliver Cromwell with wolves.
