I consider myself lucky (fate?) for having met him and learned of his music at a guitar camp 25 years ago. Didn't know how I hadn't heard of him before. I am thankful.

Hell is a state of mind you find yourself in while doing eternity locked up with evil and no outside help whatsoever. You give up hope after a million years or so of that. Finally you realize that you're home for the eternal realization that all you had to do was treat your neighbor as you would have a neighbor treat your self. But you never did. It's a very bitter pill that you'll never get out of your mouths. And you come to know what it means to lose your soul.

Erin’s Kiss - For the God of Harvard Square and all the AA meetings the very great 1st Angel of Christ, America, Ireland and Scotland and the World Chris Smither. Peace Love Bliss Nirvana Forever for you my beloved friend and hero. I remember all the table tennis matches into the 30s which I maintain I won more of by a slight margin. Slugfests is what they were Chris. Then there's all the AA meetings where you mesmerized everyone with your stories. I had some too though didn't I? Those meetings in Harvard Square were by far the best anywhere. I was going to 3 meetings a day around that time. Anyway, Chris, You and all your blessed friends and beautiful family have won an all expense paid trip to eternity to enjoy peace love bliss and nirvana until your immortal ears fall off. How we worship you Chris. You are 'one' singular magnificent cosmic soul. Quantum kisses we float to you from the bottom of the mysterious Colvin bog in some corner of Scotland near Paul's farm. Are you coming over?

When you play table tennis with Chris Smither you learn to never think 'winner' till the ball hits the floor cause Chris is a multi-dimensional octopus with magical powers and boy if he don't scrape 'em off the floor. So, you been fore-warned. I was not so that's the advantage of sending sucker canaries like me down the well first to test the atmosphere. Right Chris?
