It was so tasty I mixed it with my tomato sauce and put it on pizza dough. Delicious. AND, my fillings sparkle!!

If I could recommend, my friend....When I clean brass pieces like this, I use one of those dollar store electric toothbrushes to clean the hard to reach places and details. These toothbrushes are great and they only cost one dollar! And, this piece certainly has high detail areas and an electric toothbrush could make quick work of those hard to reach places. I tried this out on an old brass incense burner, which I found in my attic. Usually would have gave it away, but i thought why not try out cleaning first cause it is so lovely looking and would be neat for some tiny jewelry. And it was magic, how it turned out. Thanks a lot for sharing your knowledge.

No offense, but I would never give heavy brass articles away. If you understood what it takes to produce these items, you would have a different appreciation for them. Maybe.

1 spoon each of wheat flour and rocksalt and white vinegar with juice of half lemon mix

Thanks. Try using a stronger vinegar and after putting on the paste, then putting the piece into a sealed plastic bag, i.e. a zip lock bag, to keep the paste from drying out while it work ts magic. If the bag swells from any gas produced, just open it, then put a disposable drinking straw into the opening to let the gases out, then reseal it around the straw. I immigrated to the USA in the '90's. Before I left I visited a Hindu temple - and burned some incense to a charming God Ganesh. Forward 30 years, I wanted a brass statue (made in India) of Ganesh. everything I asked for, came true. So sweet. The figurine arrived - it's old, dirty, hasn't been cleaned in 50 years. I am in the process of following this method - and am delighted! It's very intricate piece, so I am extending the time a bit on parts. I also had to use a soft toothbrush to get into crevices! Very happy, so far.

I wanted to bring back to life a big traditional copper pot from my Grandmom which was almost 4 decades old. On her 1st year anniversary, as a fitting memory I tried to revamp it and make it a showpiece in my living room.
This recipe worked very well. When my grandmom looks down from the heavenly abode of me enjoying this pot - I am sure you will also be a rightful benefactor of those blessings.

i just did this too...Its amazing!!! the only thing left was the limescale!!! i think it the paste was apllied every two hours over a 12 hour period then it would also help that too!!!! but thats just guessing...thanks for the video!!!!
I think that won't be needed. If necessary the paste can be applied once in three months to keep the shine .
